“clean modern well located hotel”

“Clean, comfortable, and friendly”
We stayed here for a week in mid August, and the hotel was quiet as the main season for them is winter. This was brilliant - I had the pool to myself while my daughter explored the gym and was delighted there was no-one else around (health & safety is not a big issue over here!) The hotel was comfortable and clean, and the staff friendly and helpful. Their English was not great - and my Bulgarian even less so - but sign language and good will made communication fun. The room had kitchen facilities which was ideal - though not quite thought through, (eg there was a hob but no pans). The town is a wonderful mixture of old and new - dodge the goats and the potholes - and not totally geared up for the summer season (eg the Tourist Information Office was closed for the holidays!!) But lovely place with lovely people.

“I would recommend if you get it cheap”
I stayed at the Mountain Paradise with my boyfriend for a week over the new year period in December 08 and would recommend it to others if you get a cheap deal. The room was clean and spacious with a mini kitchen in it which was useful, microwave, hob, toaster and kettle etc. Not luxurious but for what we paid it made a comfy and clean base for our trip. There is a small supermarket opposite the hotel which is very handy for drinks and snacks etc. However the staff are pretty misserable and not too friendly and we could not face sitting in the restaurant due to the amount of smoke from the smokers.
“4* doesn't reflect the reality”
Well, this is not a 4* hotel. Max. it deserves is 2* considering the quality of rooms (furniture, finishings, etc.). What makes the hotel good are the friendliness of the staff, their efforts to make your stay good & of course the price (in high season the price is lower than most of the other hotels).

No hot water in the facility advised on arrival. Checked out immediately and found another hotel.
