“Great hotel, great location”

There's really nothing remotely displeasing to say about this hotel. Everything was great, from service to cleanliness to food (included breakfast was amazing, even for 3 straight mornings!). It's also in a very nice area of Bangkok, and plenty to explore nearby. Oh, and swimming and gym facilities were excellent too! Two thumbs up from me ((:

Area recommendations

Expensive but nicer: around Sukhumvit Road. Backpackers: around Khao San Road, though it is a lot rowdier, dirtier and a little seedier.

Shopping

MBK for cheap, market stuff + haggling. Siam Paragon for your branded fix (but note: very pretentious here). Siam Discovery if you want the brand fix without the pretentious.

“Good Deal”

Conveniently located near a BTS station so there was easy access to the airport. Can take BTS to the waterfront then an Express Boat to the city's tourist attractions. Very clean and comfortable room with nice bathroom.

“Luxurious & Fab Location”

We decided to stay in the President Palace Hotel based on other reviews we read and we were more than satisfied. The hotel staff were fantastic and the room was really luxurious. Its in an excellent location close to the train and at night has street markets close by. We would definately stay here again.

In BKK I like the old temples, river and shopping/markets.. All very worth seeing. But I prefer the beaches .. of the top 10.. I have been to 5.. Koh Chang is one of my favorites.. Snorkle, kayak, Elephant treks, Swimming with elephants, motor bikes, shopping, dinning great,

“Very Nice Hotel”

The Hotel is ideally located for business or leisure travelers. I stayed in a club room, the club rooms and suites are extra-ordinary in away. The rooms are clean, quite and the in room service is good. Staff is more than helpful. I would stay again if I come back to Bangkok

“Bangkok's Great Hotel”

This isa great hotel. This hotel was very nice, well maintained and roomy. There were three of us staying in one room and it was very comfortable. The hotel is only about three blocks from the Sky Train (Nano station). We took the train station from/to the airport. The food at the restaurant (Manchester United) in the hotel lobby was also very good. Saving the best for last, the staff was very warm, friendly and very accommodating. I would definitely stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Bangkok. The price was very reasonable too.

Getting around

Use the sky train to get around. The train is clean and comfortable. It gets you to most the places you want to get to.

Must see

I would recommend getting a guided tour to the train market, floating market, tiger temple and, best of all, swimming with the elephants. I don't recall the place of swimming with the elephants but it was about three hours outside of Bangkok. We visited all these places in one day. We left at 7:00am and got back to the hotel at 8:30pm.This was well worth the trip.

“Good place to stay in Bangkok to enjoy MBK shopping”

This hotel is 2 trains and 4 stops away from the National statdium station where you find MBK shopping mall. It takes about 25 mins from NANA stn to National Stadium Stn. The hotel is in the heart of the Sukomvith Rd and getting around is very easy. The rooms are very good and is totally VFM. Breakfast was better then most hotels we stayed in Phuket, Phi Phi and Krabi. I recommend this hotel to someone who is looking for a short stay in Bangkok and looking to spend most of their time outside doing shopping & enjoying nightlife.

“Great Hotel”

President palace Hotel is truly a very nice hotel. Room was very clean and much larger than I anticipated. The staff was extremely friendly especially the girl at the Tour Desk. She helped me set up a tour to the Thai Boxing Stadium which I highly reccommend. The location is a short walk to the train station. A lot of dining options nearby. When the sun goes dow the party starts which is not really my scene but Overall a very nice place
