“Wish i had longer....”

Very nice rooms, river view room was lovely. Rooftop pool area and bar is great in the evening Good area for old city attractions eg golden palace. Can walk to Khao San Road area, but out of the madness. Note: MRT or BTS does not service this district. But ferry terminal is right beside the hotel. Taxi to airport 5.30 in the morning was only 30 minutes, for 500baht. ATM and 7/11 right in front of the hotel. Can get a lot cheaper in Bangkok, but would still recommend. Food in the restaurant was excellent.

“Great Hotel in Bangkok”

The Navalai River Resort is a great hotel in Bangkok. I had never been to Asia before and am fairly picky about hotels. I chose the Navalai after reading other reviews and was very pleased. It was a very modern hotel right next to a pier with a water taxi and long boat tours. It was conveniently located. We stayed three nights. The restaurant was excellent, we ate there many times. Great breakfast buffet and also great for sitting out at night having a drink looking at the river. The surrounding neighborhood is close to Khao San Road or just exploring the backstreets of Bangkok. Taxis were readily available. I would definitely stay here again.

“Best hotel on the trip”

They gave us a free upgrade on check in and the room was absolutely awesome. The view was amazing and everything we ate there was great! No complaints. It is away from the town and there's not really any nightlife, but that's what we wanted. The staff was great too!

“Great water-front hotel. Ideal for sight seeing”

Excellent hotel. Water taxi landing at rear - so great for sight seeing on first trip to Bangkok. Lovely, and spacious rooms (deluxe ones were anyway). Food in outside restaurant fab, but somewhat chaotic service when we stayed (May 2012). Staff all extremely friendly. Hotel taxi service to airport a bit expensive at 500BHT (if you DO find a metered taxi in this city, it will be only 350BHT, but good look on finding one with a working meter).

“Great, only minor complaints”

Beds are a little hard, only complaint. Having to re-enter the wifi username and password every day is a bit of a pain. Proximity to river and pier and Khao San is nice.

“Great hotel would stay agsin”

Went on a recommendation. Very nice hotel. Staff dont speak much English but hotel was very nice and clean. Good selection for breakfast. Just out of the centre of Bangkok but within easy distance to all the sights. 15 minute walk to Grand Palace. River taxi out back of hotel also. Lots of bars and restaurants within 2 minute walk out of front of hotel and across the road. We would definitely stay again. Also a swimming pool on rooftop.

“Great Hotel - Great Location on the River!”

We totally enjoyed our stay at The Navalai!! The entrance with a waterfall & koi pond were always a delight. Our bedroom was spacious. The bath was down a step (be careful, I fell!) and as usual, not enough light for shaving or makeup (but that's typical!). The bed was hard, but the maid put 2 duvets under the bottom sheet and it was better. We really enjoyed the breakfast sitting on the terrace behind the hotel. There is a ferry stop there, which makes for great people & river traffic watching, as well as transportation to most of the main sights! Fronting the hotel is an ATM & a 7-Eleven. Across the street to the right is a great place to have lunch/dinner, "The White Story". They make all their pastries fresh everyday right there. They specialize in Italian & Thai, and speak quite good English! We checked out the pool on the roof, but it was way too hot to enjoy - though it looked very nice!

“Nice, new and worth the $$”

The hotel itself is beautiful and clean. The room we had was spacious, clean and new. The hotel is well positioned along the river which allows for easy access to the local ferry with a dock right outside the restaurant. The hotel is however a long distance from the airport which we thought was a down side, epecially if you have an early flight which means an long early trek. We requested a wake up call, but however didn't recieve one and was luck enough to wake up in time. I would recommend this hotel for couples who wish to stay near by the famous Khao San Road.
