“Beautiful Villa Sarna”

Absolutely beautiful - high on a jungle hill above rice paddies - so peaceful with stunning gardens, lovely staff and the superb host Satnam Sarna - what a nice man! 15 minutes outside Ubud but with free shuttle buses all day to Ubud and back. If I could assign ten stars I would.

“Happy honeymoon Stay”

The staff and the environment were all very lovely. Went out of there way to be helpfull A little out of Ubud, but shuttles in/out were more than adequate.

Great place. Great staff. Food good and reasonably priced. Away from it all, but only small ride/drive to Ubud with regular free hotel transport to and from Ubud. No free airport transfer was only negative. loved it.

“Botanical Gardens”

We traveled quite a lot around Bali and from what we saw we were extremely happy that we had chosen Villa Sarna. It was quiet oasis with excelent service, friendly staff and beautiful surrounding. Nothing was a problem for them but they let you have your own privacy. If you are thinking to go for cycling trip I would recommend using their offer to arrange bicycle trip for you because it can be 'bespoke' and you would avoid overcrowded cycling tours. They also offer a car rent with a driver as it is very difficult to travel invependently around with the use of public transport. You can also hire a scooter and investigate the sightseeing on a bike. The feeling that we could trust them and rely on them; together with their honesty made us feel really relax. As for the distance from Ubud it is c. 10 km so it is not walkable but a shuttle provided by the Villa free of charge was absolutely convenient. Meal was available either from the restaurant close to the Villa (tasty & cheap) or in Ubud. However, if you are more for wild night life and lively environment than look for something in Ubud.

“Fantastic & Beautiful”

Beautiful location, Out of central Ubud, far enough away to have space, peace & quite, time to relax but also close enough to markets & shops etc. Stayed in Shiva room which was amazing, stunning views & sunsets. Staff are very helpful & go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. Hired a scooter to get around but free shuttle runs to Ubud. Really great place to just sit back & take it all in. Will definitely go back.

“Book It”

If you've read any other reviews of Villa Sarna you already know that it is universally loved by anyone who has been there. I really can't add anthing more than to confirm that as of May 2012 the previous reviews lavishing high praise are still well deserved. Believe the photos they have posted, they are true and accurate. Everthing about the hotel is thoughtfully conceived and executed. The gardens and rooms are first rate. Without being intrusive the staff will meet every need. I timed the ride into town; 15 minutes. The pickups for return were always on time. I have no reservations about recommending this hotel. If you've considered Villa Sarna my advise is "Do it"

“Great place to stay, but 20 minutes outside of Ubud”

We loved this hotel and can't wait to go back. It is important to note that although the hotel is located 20 minutes outside the city center this should not be a major issue. The hotel offers free pick up and drop off every other hour (last pick up is at 9:30PM which is much later then some other resorts in the area. The staff and hotel grounds are great. We loved it so much that we decided to stay an extra day......And the hotel restuarant is great and with affordable room service. I feel that anyone who books this hotel should book their tranportation prior to arriving since it's not on a major road.

“Beautiful Villa Sarna”

Very relaxing stay in a beautiful setting. Staff very helpful and meals very good. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet stay and real Bali experience.
