“Ilion Athens”
Good clean hotel in the centre of Athens. Bargain rates, nothing fancy. Ideal for a tourist.
“Just OK”
There was no safe & the "double bed" was just 2 separately made beds pushed together. Also, breakfast buffet was skimpy. However, we were pleased with hitel staff.
“Not Impressed”
My first review. first of all I have to say the hotel was clean, the staff was semi friendly. My dislikes were: I asked for a non smoking room, but every including their grandmother must have been smoking in that hotel. Every night the smoke just poured into the room from the cracks and under the door. I even put a towel at the door, but that didn't work. I highly suggest that if you're a non smoker like me, I'd pay the extra $$ to sleep comfortably at nite.
“not one I'd choose again.”
Hotel staff was nice and efficient, but we arrive at 9:30pm and the neighborhood was very sketchy. We had multiple public urination viewings and propositions on our way in and were travelling with children. Rooms were adequate and the hotel was safe once you go there. On the plus side, it was an easy walk to the Acropolis in the morning and hotel staff were great about keeping our bags during the day.
“Beware”
Noisy street facing rooms, pour housekeping,(maids smoke while on duty) poor breakfast in a hot and shabby room. Would not stay again.

“Needs a lot of work”
Centrally located and one of the few that offered a quad room but really one for those looking for a cheaper hotel and who are not concerned with cramped conditions and sub-standard amenities. I thought it would have offered a little more service and comfort for the price paid.
“Not Impressed at all.”
Probabbly value for your money but in terms of creature comfort i would not recommend this hotel. Requested for a double bed and i got 2 single beds!
“Could have done better”
As we found out there are many hotels available in Athens but this one looked good on the net. We were disappointed. The rooms were very old and not very clean. The floor we were on was not even lit up and we had to ask for them to turn on the lights. the internet access was poor but got better if you sat on the stairs near the wifi. The breakfast buffet was very average. The lift to the floors was like one from the old balck and white movies. The location, well the taxi driver dropped us and warned to be careful at night around there. We were not night owls but did see the change when returning to the hotel in the evening. I guess the conditions had a lot to do with the economic crisis there but we were later informed we could have done better for our buck.
