“Cheap and cheerful but does the job and close to the beach”
Close to the beach with an indoor pool and an outdoor pool with a fun kids area in it as well. The apartments are nice enough and have a tiny kitchen area with two electic hobs, a microwave and a sink and fridge. There's a small supermarket just opposite the hotel which is really convenient and the town is a 5 minute walk down the hill (as is the beach) Enough crockery and pots and pans for our needs certainly although I probably wouldn't want to try to cook a meal for a whole family every night in the space. Downsides of the hotel are that lots of stag nights and hen nights seem to stay so be prepared for some disturbance in the corridors at night and possibly some drunk groups by the pool during the day although we didn't mind so much and it wasn't a problem. (probably the same issue in most places in Benidorm) Also, they have a hot tub by the indoor pool but it often wasn't working. Nice enough hotel bar. Breafast was not good though and you have to pay so I wouldn't bother. We made our own or went to one of the many nearby cafe's. All in all, a good choice for us.
“Hotel”
When we arrived in Spain, we arrived to a thunder storm. On arriving at the Magic Tropicana Suites, we found the hotel reception flooded, with water pouring through the roof in the bar. A number of customers complaining at reception that their rooms were flooded. We were told we could not check in until 1.30pm, so we went of to buy some food. When we tried to check in at 1.30pm, we had major problems, as they had only booked 7 rooms for our party instead of 8, over about an hour of discussions they finally supplied us with an extra room. Staff at night are not helpful at all and very rude.
