“Very acceptable, but know what to expect”
The hotel is perfectly situated between old town and the strip, staff were very friendly and everything was clean. This is by no means a 4 star hotel, the room had most of the amenities but stuff was dated. If you are looking for asthetics this not the place, but for a well situated, clean and friendly place its perfect. If your expectation aren't high and its really a place to sleep and maybe take a quick dip, its perfect. Would go back certainly.
“Excellent hotel for a relaxing break”
A good choice of apartment, the one bedroom apartments had a good sized bedroom and the lounge / dining area / kitchen was very large and airy. The swimming pool and surrounding areas were kept very clean and we had no problem getting sunbeds each day. Modelo a large supermarket and shopping arcade were literally 2 minutes walk away and most products were very reasonably priced. It is a ten minute walk to the "strip" and 10 - 15 minutes walk to the "old Town" . The beach was also a 10-15 minute walk away. I would certainly choose this Hotel/ apartment and would recommend it for both families/ couples. The location is excellent and because of where it is situated it is very quiet at night.
“Sept 2011”
The hotel is located approx. 15-20min walk from both the old town (turn left) and new town (turn right). There is a supermarket next door which was very handy. Pool was clean but limited sunbeds. There is a nice Pâtisserie just up the road, think it is part of the BellaVista hotel. Views are limited to the road side or pool, no sea views). Access to the beach (15-20mins) is quite steep but there are escalators that take you down part of the way and a tourist road train service (about 2.50 euro single trip) that will take you the rest if unable to walk. 1 bedroom apartments are large, studios were also reasonable. I would reccomend a day trip to the Villamoura marina where some of the boat trips go from. The hotel was nice but if I returned I think I would prefer to give the BellaVista a go.
