“Good hotel for broke college kids”
Got placed on the top floor (there are 22 floors) with a beautiful view of the ocean and a giant coke bottle that displayed the temperature and time (we didn’t have watches and didn't want to reset our cellphone times). Lots of room to move/lounge around in the room itself, but the bathroom was cramped (you're almost sticking into the shower when you sit down on the toilet). The furnishings are old, but the room was clean. There are only two elevators and they are VERY OLD. In order to use it, you have to make a call from the telephone to tell the man inside the elevator which floor you're on. Most of the time, this was not a big problem, but when 1 elevator was down for maintenance, there was a long wait. One day, a lot of people were checking out, so the elevator was backed up and we had to walk down the stairs from the 22nd floor. The staff is nice, and most of them speak English. The hotel is close to a club called Paradise. We could hear music coming from there in our room until 4am, but it didn't bother us since we went out practically every night anyway. There are usually taxis parked right outside, but they disappear later in the evening. This place is within walking distance of practically everything we wanted (beach, bars, restaurants, churros, flea markets, liquor stores, etc.). The only place we took a cab to was the Palladium. Great location, decent service, but don't expect anything more than a place to shower and sleep.
“Amazing view”
Great location and amazing view
“romano palace acapulco”
I was greeted well, check in was quick. I had a night flight into acapulco and arrived at 625am. That was not a problem with the hotel staff, regular check in is at 3pm. I was acomodated well, that was a big plus. It was a nice hotel for the low price, and very well situated. Right in the heart of all the night life. A little noisy, but exactly what I expected. This place might not be for everybody, but if you want to be where the action is and you don't mind a little noise, then this is the place for you. THE PRICE IS RIGHT.
“Nice Area”
I stayed here with my wife and daughter, the location is great, we enjoyed our vacations.
“Stay elsewhere”
Loud noise all night long from the open air bars across the street. This 22 floor hotel only has two elevators. When they both work, its acceptable as long as you don't mind big crowds in an elevator. For my entire stay, one elevator didn't work and the security guard had to stand at the elevator to keep people in line. Many of us got some good exercise as a result so its not all bad. The pool area is always jammed with screaming kids. The beach across the street was ok.
“"Not Impressed "”
Tv didn't work an was never fix, music at the suimming pool area was horrible and they only play the same cd, main lobby restrooms too small and not clean people not very friendly, we also ate something by the suimming pool and the service was terrible and expensive I do not recommend this hotel at all except for the view.
“Please Remove This Hotel From Your Options List”
I will be calling you as well. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in in a third-world counrty; and I've been to other third-world countries like India, Egypt, South America, and other places in Mexico. The elevator did not work. Initially we were placed on the 22nd floor. We had to go to another room so that we could use the stairs. They gave us the 8th floor; that was tiring. The air conditioner did not work either. The furniture in the rooms is like 25 yrs. old. They had like 2 or 3 irons and no ironing boards in the entire hotel. The food was not good. The front desk personnel were not very happy to be greeting people; no manners, no thank-you, no smiles. Please do not offer this hotel as one of your options. It was horrible. Remove it from your list. Thank You!
“not impressed”
Music was playing vry loud, asked reception if music would be playing loud all night, she stated no the music stopped at 12;00 pm. Music played until 4:00am so loud we had a difficult time sleeping, and we were on the 10th floor.
“Good location, Bad hotel”
The hotel is located in the middle of the main strip which was great. However getting to and from your room can be a mission since both elvators DO NOT work. Me and my girlfriend walked up to or down from the 14th floor more than once when the elevator never came. The trick is to call the front desk so they can send elevator to your floor, but even then it might not show up. Our bags were delayed with our airline and we were told the airline would deliver them to our hotel. Our bags never showed up so our first night was a disaster. We went all the way back to the airport to complain only to find that they indeed deliver our bags the night before to our hotel after we kept asking thr front desk throughout the night and the morning before we went back to the airport. Apparantly the front desk was never notified they were delivered. On top of that, they wanted to charge us for the phone calls we made to the airport the night before even though our bags were already at our hotel and no one knew about it.
“Beware the discoteque!”
This hotel is fairly nice, the rooms are big and clean, and the view of the bay is spectacular. What they don't tell you is that the hotel is right across the street from one of the biggest (read: loudest) open-air discos on the strip. If you're a partier, great, but don't stay here if you expect to sleep before 4 a.m.!
