“Good place to stay for the money”
As long as you don't mind an hour to hour and half ride to and from the airport, this place is just fine. Food is good, pool area nice and clean, rooms cute with hammocks outside each room. Staff friendly but mostly non english speaking so brush up.
“Good value, but you make sacrifices”
The hotel was a very good value, but was a little rough around the edges. It is very secluded 30 minutes from Downtown. That means peace and quiet, but a long cab ride from the airport or anything else. The rooms are decent and set up duplex-like, spread out in a village setting. The showers use solar heated water, so don't expect hot showers. Also the water in the room is unfiltered, so don't drink it (the staff does bring two bottles of water each day they clean it). Very few employees speak any English-FYI. This hotel is good if you just want to relax by the pool or ocean and have daily hotel activities in an all-inclusive package.

Yes, if you want to be alone. Far from city, isolated, lost power, can't swim in ocean-too dangerous. wonderful customer service, staff very friendly, not much to do.
“Terrible food, dirty beach!”
The food in this all-inclusive hotel is terrible. There are only few meal options with very low quality. It is not a good deal considering price. The service is not good. There is not hot water at room. I took a walk throught the beach and I found trash and the water with a ugly brown color. Pie de la Cuesta beach has cheaper options, as rustic hotels at the beginning of the beach with much better prices and hot water.
“Not the best service”
The hotel is old and the service is not very good. It is far from the city center and comercial area. It has a very private and nice beach.
“not as good as in the discriptions”
Food-not much to choice from(1 restaurant) Gym-equipments too old(1960s)out door? No activities at all except swim in the pool only? Mosquitos-no insect repellent candles? No gift shops? No transportations provided from airport to hotel? Only 1 person in the entire hotel speaks a little English? No hot water in the shower? Workers is very nice,polite,the try hard to understand our English Hotel conditions is not very pleasant No snacks in between meal?
