"The room was great however the service was slow and the alcohol was generic only a couple name brands. We had to pay an upgrade to get some limited premium alcohol but this upgrade was available only in certain bar areas. Jonathan in the 21st floor bar was amazing! Overall the stay was ok"

"Friendly and kind staff. Property is well maintained, but it needs some updates and fixes. It is family friendly. Every day there are fun activities to enjoy with family. There are 3 different pools, not to deep. Buffet breakfast is really good. Sea and stones restaurant is closed on Tuesday’s, and did not meet the expectations. Sports and Bar is a better option. There is a small convenience market inside the resort. There are two different bars. In general, it was a good stay."

"i recently stayed at Riu Cancun and had a great experience overall. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Cancun’s Hotel Zone with easy access to beaches, restaurants, and nightlife. The beach was beautiful, with clear turquoise water and plenty of space to relax.The rooms were clean and comfortable, and many offer amazing ocean views. The staff were friendly, hardworking, and always willing to help. The food selection was good, with several restaurants and buffet options available throughout the day. Drinks were plentiful, and the all-inclusive service made the stay very convenient."

"We brought my mother there for her 84th Birthday celebration and had many issues. The safe broke two times and had to replace the circuit board. The shower door handle broke and staff just left the screws on the counter and we had to request it be fixed. The curtains had holes, the minibar/coffee was never replenished the entire time we were there... and then to end the week, my mother had an accident and soiled her robe and when we went to check out they charged us 2,000 pesos. They embarrassed her terrible and would not let us leave without paying. We paid 4,000 for the trip this resort and they humiliated an old woman for having an accident with no empathy and the entire lobby could here the staff. We did not damage anything other than a robe from her accident. This was highly unacceptable and the resort should be ashamed of how this was handled. I would not recommend ever going to this resort!"

"The AC did not work properly. Very humid, stuffy & damp in the room. Bathroom ceiling was leaking. Couches & chairs in the rooms were stained. Sliding doors to the balcony were very hard to slide open. “Inclusive breakfast “ was very minimal & not good. Resort was poorly kept and very old!! Stay away!!"
