"Clean property and helpful staff"

"I have been going to the GR for the past 18 years. Every year, but this year, I have had zero complaints. The property is under new management and all the things we loved about the resort are gone. The biggest complaint that I had was that I had reserved and paid for a beach front room and they had gone in and changed the reservation to an ocean view room days before I had arrived. The beach front room are considerably more expensive and the idea that they could go in and change my expedia reservation without notice or compensation sat very poorly with me. Word of warning--bring the original printout as it is your only viable contract. I did manage to get the room I paid for, but no without the print out and a lot of hassle. That set the tone for the rest of the trip. Not the home away from home experience I had grown to love and appreciate. Avoid."

"Everything was great! The service and amenities were very good and met all expectations. The food was quite simple, but well-prepared and tasty. Overall, a very pleasant experience. "

"I been to so many resorts in Cancun this by far was not the greatest overall amenities for kids is great but the staff was not the friendliest, also by the pool area they don't come to clean often and birds come by and start grabbing the food, the beach was very brown and the smell outside was very strong like sewage. While in the buffet we encounter at least 3 cooks who were very rude by the south side pizza station not polite at all and the bartender by the italian restaurant ignoring us constantly but if you wanna just enjoy kids ameneties its a must just dont expect a great service here. also if your coming pls book restaurant reservations before coming to the resort like 3 weeks prior so you can have a good timing otherwise you will have dinner at 9.45 pm NO JOKe "

"My room 207 was horrible and dirty. They moved me to 508, the day after. The staff has zero customer service when it comes to being generous to the customer service. They also make you wait as they are supposedly making the move,but you can see that they are not helping you with the will. Beautiful location although I think the staff is to comfortable because they have been in their jobs for so long. This is our 4th time on this property and you can see it declining bad. Clearly it’s a staff issue."
