In London, Birmingham, and Manchester, there are many cultural venues and historical sites to see. Throughout the country's colorful regions, there are many festivals, dramatic enactments, music performances, and art displays during all months of the year. Whether you want to experience the daily changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace in London or attend arts festivals in Surrey or the Lake District in the West, you will thoroughly enjoy your stay during any season. English weather can be unpredictable, with periods of bright sunlight, fog, and light-to-heavy rain showers during a single day. Temperatures can range from a high of 100 degrees in early August to below freezing in January as Gulf Stream warming via the Atlantic Ocean competes with the country's northern latitude.

    Attractions, Cultural Activities, and Food

London has many exciting sites and venues to enjoy. While there, be sure to visit Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, St. Paul's Cathedral, and Big Ben. Then, take a boat ride on the Thames River to experience a scenic view of the city. If you visit Manchester during July, you will enjoy the innovative Manchester International Festival, offering masterful new works by worldwide artists in music, dramatic performance, and visual arts. Plan an excursion to charming, historic Stratford-upon-Avon, a town on the Avon River in the county of Warwickshire near Birmingham. Known around the world as the birthplace of William Shakespeare, this intriguing place offers exceptional performances of Shakespearean plays on a regular schedule.

In the Cotswold Hills of south-central England, you will relax in the lush serenity of the green countryside while admiring the famous stone buildings and villages. Along with traditional fish 'n' chips, you can sample other English dishes during your trips, including crumpets, deviled kidneys, shepherd's pie, and Yorkshire pudding.

    "best location in london"
i love the strand palace and have been staying there for years. however, sometimes, i've gotten a room that is really just too small for two people, and that's what happened this time: the double bed was crammed into a corner of the room, a corner so small that the bed could only be accessed from one side - that's a stretch and they really shouldn't offer rooms that size to two people that said, it's a great location, their renovation they did for the olympics is terrific and i can't wait to go back (i'll just make sure i don't settle for a room where the bed doesn't really fit)

The whole experience was wonderful. The breakfast was excellent, the room superb, great view from the 12th floor, all the facilities worked like a dream, the swimming pool was great, and I loved the smell of the shampoo in the bathroom. The guy on the reception was very helpful booking us a late table in the restaurant, and nothing was too much trouble. I felt really pampered.

    "Great hotel, good location, "
We had a great girlie weekend celebrating a special birthday. We had booked a standard room but we were given an executive double room that entitled us to access to the executive lounge between 6 and 8 pm where snacks were served. We could also help ourselves to anything in the bar, wine, beer or spirits. The view was fantastic, sitting sipping a drink made a brilliant start to the weekend. The room was spacious and clean. There was complimentary water and the usual tea and coffee. Our view (20 th) floor was over the tram station and we could see way into the distance. We had never been to Manchester but had some comprehensive information from the receptionist which enabled us to visit local areas of interest. We took advantage of the spa using the jacuzzi and wonderful swimming pool and steam room. Our visit coincided with the conservative conference which meant the hotel was busy, but we did not feel rushed in the restaurant and it did not feel crowded. We would highly recommend the deansgate Hilton and would love to return again in the not too distant future.

    "Conveniently located hotel"
Brittania Hotel in Birmingham is well located. It is a short walk from the rail station, shops and eateries in city's central area. The room was very clean but the bathroom sink leaked and tub was very slow to drain. Staff were adequate in helpfulness. It was noisy due to location until late evening which was acceptable. WiFi in lobby and bar only. Given the moderate room rate, cleanliness and location, I would recommend it and stay there again.
