Only minor things that I can fault were the shower was not very powerful, could do with pump support, more coathangers and could do with a drawer unit for item storage. "A fabulous stay in a Club Double (recommended room choice) in one of the most beautiful Edwardian hotels in London. Two tube stops, Kensington Gardens and Palace, and restaurants galore -- all just steps away. The staff is superb, especially Xavier Gomes, the new manager; Manuela and Carmen, the two Romanian sisters who run the excellent breakfast buffet; Maureen at the front desk -- and many others. I've been staying in the Grand Royale for over a decade and love it!"

"It was a perfect location inside the Gatwick Airport making our flight connection perfectly easy and convenient. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly, allowing us an extra hour to check out since due to a series of unfortunate events we didn’t arrive until after 2 a.m. Our room was very quiet and comfortable, though very small. Bed was very comfortable, medium firmness, but due to the size of the room one of us had to climb over the other to get out of bed. We didn’t like the all-in-one bathroom where the shower is not separated from the toilet and sink. All was clean and in good working order. We felt very welcome and had an overall excellent stay. "
