"The hotel is perfect, clean, nice, big, and has a very good spa. You need to make sure that your room has spa access included, otherwise, you have to pay additionally to use it. We had to pay additionally and we didn't regret it. If you find malls a bit far from the hotel, they have a shuttle minivan to take you there. Right outside of the hotel, there are plenty of dining, coffee, and dessert options. There is a supermarket, beauty salon, and even an aesthetic clinic right outside. Probably...

"Quiet secluded resort on northern end of Phi Phi Don. Boat ride away from nice beaches and snorkeling. Cute, comfortable, private bungalows for rooms. Low tides are extreme, so swimming is limited to high tide. Note that none of the resort restaurants have AC - they are all open-air, so if there is a heat wave, it can be uncomfortable to eat outside, but they do offer room service to your bungalow, which has an AC unit."

"The staff is great, very friendly and helpful specially the concierge UI, but the rooms need a very good renovation. The room smell like mould or wet carpet, the walls have signs of infiltration. A few of the amenities are old tbh. The breakfast it’s okay but could have a better and more options. The location and staff fantastic. But really really think the rooms need some renovation and some investment. "

"This hotel was nice overall, the check in process took a while & our bags coming up to the room was also delayed. I was a little disappointed that I booked VIP but the only VIP bonus was a couple extra beers & there was no complimentary room upgrade available. It was my birthday and they did not have the room decorated prior to check in. Overall the staff was nice but the stay could’ve been better. Hotel is pretty conveniently located."

Accommodation in Thailand

Thailand is a beautiful country in Southeast Asia where elephants still roam in the tropical jungles, Buddhist temples sit in the shadows of mountains, and nightclubs boom all night long in busy Bangkok. You can design your own adventure in Thailand, whether you want to dive into the fascinating jungle or the clear ocean waters off of Koh Samui. If you prefer something more cosmopolitan, shop until you drop at an exciting night market in Bangkok, pamper yourself at one of the city’s many massage parlours, and fill up on ridiculously good Asian cuisine. You’ll find that your money goes far in this quickly modernizing country and that you can easily snag cheap flights to Thailand. You can even live like royalty in one of many luxury Thailand resorts, without breaking the bank.

When to Visit

The best time to visit Thailand is between November and February when the country’s sizzling temperatures cool down. This is peak tourist season, so consider buying a Thailand holiday package to save on hotels and airfare. The heat cranks up between March and June, so if you’re visiting during this time, bring plenty of water and head for the cooler mountains in the north. Monsoon season strikes between July and October, which means you’ll want to pack your gumboots.

What to See and Do in Thailand

Your Thailand adventure will depend on your own version of a holiday paradise and where you choose to stay. If you want quiet and relaxing, hit up some of the country’s more remote beach islands by ferry, catamaran, or private plane. In particular, the Chumphon Archipelago offers many inviting islands and two marine national parks.

If you’d rather take a spiritual quest, visit the ornate Buddhist temples, called “wats,” throughout the country. Some of the most famous in Bangkok are Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun. And if you want to live it up, you can party all night long in vibrant Bangkok.

Phuket

Phuket hotels are the destination for those who want a classic Thailand beach holiday. In fact, this island is so popular, they recently opened a new international airport terminal. Find a Phuket airport taxi at the metre stand, and you’re on your way. While there’s no beach in Phuket Town, there is a marina. Plus, it’s just 14 km from Phuket Town to Patong Beach, which is the best beach in Phuket, according to, well, everyone.

Bangkok

What should you do in Bangkok? The question is, what shouldn’t you do in Bangkok? You should definitely experience the usual attractions: the Grand Palace, Chatuchak Market, and a boat trip on the Bangkok ferry. Then check out some of the more unusual things to do in Bangkok, like the Siriraj Medical Museum and Wat Mahathat, one of the city’s oldest temples. Just because you visit the monks doesn’t mean you have to live like them, though. Book comfy Bangkok hotels and get a good night’s rest.

Pattaya

Pattaya is about 150 km south of Bangkok, making it a popular stopover. It’s definitely worth it to book a hotel in Pattaya and take a look around for a few days. The Pattaya ferry makes it a great home base to explore other Thai locales, like Koh Lan and the coastal resort town of Hua Hin. Wondering the best way to get from Pattaya to Phuket? You can get to Pattaya to Phuket by bus, and while it’s cheap, it may take a while. Your best bet is to bus it to Bangkok, then hop on a flight.

The Land of Smiles has plenty of destinations to fit every travel style and budget, and Expedia.com.au has all the best deals to get you there. Explore more destinations today, and get started planning a trip to Thailand that’s as relaxing or adventurous as you want it to be.
