What used to be our first choice in Bangkok is now disappointingly average. Used to offer a wonderful breakfast with good coffee, friendly staff and western and Asian choices. Coffee is bad, breakfast staff is sparse and indifferent, choices are heavily Japanese and unless you already know about it, there is nothing to indicate that there is a cook to order station for eggs, etc. The hotel restaurant is also closed so evening and lunch meals are on your own. Rooms are still efficient and clean. Front desk is capable, if reserved and cool. Public areas are clean and impressive. Our tv was inoperable for a good portion of our stay. Had to keep calling for staff to come up and reset it in order to receive a signal. Guests used to feel that they were getting a real bonus with the wonderful breakfast. Hope they bring it back.
