"Most wonderful place on earth! Gorgeous property, warm & attentive staff in every position and the most sublime food. I cannot say enough good things and the marvelous staff should all be commended. Peter who welcomed me at the car park, Becky & Theo at reception who settled me in to the lovely Hollyhock room in the main house. "A convenient location, not too far for walking into town, but plenty of buses from the nearby stop. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet, at the back of the house. I was surprised that breakfast was not included, but probably my fault for not reading the details carefully. However, I eat very little at breakfast and felt that £12.50 was rather too much for my requirements. "

"This is a great hotel option right in the heart of Oxford. The street around it is a bit busy and slightly grimy, but once you step into the downstairs entrance to the hotel you feel safe, comfortable, and everything was fresh and tidy. Our room was on the backside so we had no street noise issues. The room exceeded my expectations for the cost in its charm and features. This is a great option for a midrange priced hotel! I would definitely stay here again."

"Lovely location, about 20 minutes walk from the centre which we enjoyed doing. Really nice little hotel/lodge, the only downside was the room service ordering, we ordered two drinks to come to our room which were not complicated drinks and they took 45 minutes, and during this time my partner had to go and remind them to make them twice, and he ended up bringing them back to the room even though I had to pay £2.50 for delivery to the room."

"Excellent service and friendly helpful staff. Excellent location, right next to the train station, plenty of free parking. Hotel was clean and warm despite it being freezing. Our room didn’t have an en suite and had to access our private bathroom across the corridor. Room was cosy, a little old fashion in decor but added to the charm. I would definitely return and recommend. "
