"Great place to relax"
My daughter arrived from the UK and wanted to see some sun. My husband and I had previously stayed here so I booked for myself and my daughter to stay. We both enjoyed the time to spend by the pool and she was very impressed with the resort. I liked the addition of the tapas menu as some days we would have a bigger lunch and only require a light dinner. The staff were all very friendly and I wouldn't hesitate in coming back a 3rd time. Ramada Resort Port Douglas

My room itself was great, spacious and comfortable. The location of the room unfortunately wasn't great, it over looked the pool area so there was absolutely no privacy unless the blinds were closed, everyone in the pool area and the restaurant/bar could see into the room even though it was not on ground level. Menu at restaurant was limited and its not open all day, closes after breakfast, then again after lunch, everything then closes early.

"Amazing hotel pool & Room facilities"
Although there are several Mantra hotels in Port Douglus, Mantra Aqueous seems the best. Hotel swimming pool was particularly enjoyable, spacious and located right in front of your room. Room is fully equipped with everything you need - kitchen tools and appliances, washer & dryer, iron, and..a private jacuzzi at the veranda! Room consists of bed room, living room, and kitchen, making us feel very comfortable with lots of rooms. I'll definitely stay here again :-)

"Spotless room with 6 great pools."
We stayed in a "swim out" room. This is the only way to holiday....this means that you can walk out your back door and into the pool. Equally importantly, the water was perfect and the grounds are beautiful. Lush gardens, clean BBQs, clean outdoor furniture etc. There's a beach near by which is good for a nice walk or sun tanning.

"Close to everything! So easy to get around!"
We got upgraded to a pool access room which was great. The hotel has free car parking. Although wifi is at a cost, it wasn't too unreasonable. I love how central the hotel was to everything (shops, restaurants, marina)

Chilly weather is never in the forecast in Port Douglas, where warm winters follow sultry summers year after year. Fall and spring are almost indistinguishable from each other, and serve as only subtle transitions between the more extreme seasons. The tropical monsoon climate in this region also leads to many rainy days, the majority of which fall during the summer–especially in February. Winters are sunny and breezy with comparatively low levels of humidity, while the wet summers occasionally play host to severe storms. Regardless of the time of year, though, temperatures rarely rise above 30 degrees Celsius or slip below 17 degrees, making Port Douglas an ideal destination for those who despise the cold.

Hotels and Accommodation in Port Douglas

Accommodation in Port Douglas includes boutique hotels, luxury lodges, large resorts, and even properties in the midst of the rainforest. Enjoy amenities at many Port Douglas hotels that include private outdoor pools, hammocks, tennis courts, and day spas. Hotels in this Queensland region can meet any budget or travel preferences, leaving nothing more for you to do than enjoy your time in this beautiful coastal community.

    Travel Basics

Port Douglas has two primary seasons: the green season and the dry season. The green season often begins in November with the first monsoon and lasts until about May. During the dry season the temperature is generally between 17 and 26 degrees Celsius, and in the green season the temperature can rise to about 33 degrees Celsius. While the green season brings warm water conditions, it also marks the season when sea wasps, called “stingers,” make an appearance in the ocean near the coast. Swimming should only take place within marked enclosures during this time.

Getting around Port Douglas and the surrounding area is made possible by shuttle buses, bicycle rentals, and rental cars. If you make a visit to the Daintree Rainforest, be sure to mind the rules. Do not feed the wildlife, refrain from picking flowers or plants, and stay safe by keeping to the boardwalks.

Port Douglas offers outdoor enthusiasts no shortage of opportunities to engage with nature and relax for a bit. Whether you want to get your feet wet, eat a number of fine meals, or just enjoy the pleasantries of a charming seaside village, Port Douglas is for you.
