Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are so thankful for the team at AkumalDirect and how they found us an alternative property. We were originally booked for Luna Azul, but they strongly urged us to move locations due to the over abundance of sargasso. Driving past Luna Azul, you could smell the stench. We walked out to the beach that was almost completely eroded and full of sargasso. La Sirena was beautiful and had an added bonus of a pool! Francesca secure us a golf cart for easy transportation around Akumal. We had a delightful stay!"

"The property grounds were gorgeous, the garden and pool were beautiful, the air conditioning was lovely and the beds were very comfortable….the condo had everything we needed and was perfect for our family of five. There wasn’t any seaweed in front of the condo complex and the snorkeling on the bay was fabulous…we saw so many colorful fish, urchins and even an Electric Ray. We walked to La Lunita and the Jungle Cafe several times, which is only a five or ten minute walk, and the food was excellent…get the crunchy shrimp tacos if you go to La Lunita and the French Toast if you go to Jungle Cafe. Yal-Ku was amazing for snorkeling and was a short walk from the condo. This was our first visit to Mexico and Diana, the property manager, was a gem…she even arranged our airport transfer for us. We are definitely planning a trip for next year so we can go swim with the turtles and check out more cenotes."
