"Great glamping experience! Spacious and comfortable tent. Personal bathroom with shower. Great shared kitchen with small breakfast included. Lots of drinkable water included. Staff were very nice. Only one of the bikes in working condition and the rest were in desperate need of repair. Make sure to bring bug repellant. The pool was not as advertised, but fine. There is a great cenote and cave nearby to enjoy. "

Oceanfront Penthouse -4300 Sq Ft, 2 Level -Mi Casa Del Mar

"Beautiful Property. We chose a villa for 3 couples to stay in because we all loved to cook. We brought special seasonings, but unfortunately, the stove did not work. A hot plate was later brought up but very difficult to cook gourmet meals on a 2 burner portable cook top. So, we purchased additional food for the instapot, and that didn't work. It was Friday, so it took a few days to replace it. This was a major failure because we purchase all our food and it was wasted on nothing to properly cook on. We fed old burger to the racoons across the street. Maria, the maid was wonderful. We can not say enough. I hope she enjoyed everything we left behind. Oh, and the TV didn't work. It took another few days to replace it. Message to the owners: If you charge this amount for your unit, please make sure everything works."

"Great property. Enough beach and pool chairs. Room was well thought out, great view of ocean. Steamer in room instead of iron was a nice touch. Alcohol was too shelf and drinks were amazing. We are at all the restaurants for dinner. No problem if you tried to eat before 7. Loved no reservations. Great stay, would go back in a heartbeat."

With four bedrooms in the main home, a large living/dining area, large well-equipped kitchen, an ocean-view backyard, and a large west-facing pool, it had everything we needed to both relax and entertain the kids for a week. The home was very well maintained, with large kitchen appliances, new power outlets, flawless internet connection, and comfortable TV room. The caretakers were welcoming and friendly. And, property management from Akumal Direct was superb from booking all the way through the conclusion of our stay."

The food was consistently amazing, and they went above and beyond to accommodate everyone’s needs—especially the kids. By the end of the trip, they honestly felt like part of our family.The home itself is stunning—beautifully designed, spacious, and very comfortable. Every bedroom having AC made a huge difference, and the airflow throughout the main living area kept everything feeling cool and fresh. "Our family (2 adults, 3 kids age 16, 12, 12) had an absolutely fantastic stay here for our spring break! Our expectations were exceeded in every way. The house is clean and well air conditioned. The outdoor space was inviting with ample shade and places to lounge. We enjoyed our outdoor meals at the large outdoor table. The place is ocean front and a 10-15 minute walk to Akumal village and a two minute walk to the Jungle Fish restaurant. We enjoyed the kayaks and snorkeling gear! The best part of our stay were our hosts Jacob and Moon-he. They are sweet and attentive and provided a daily housekeeper and groundskeeper. Edgar cooked an amazing meal for us on our last night. We would come back in a heart beat!!!"

Cleaning and pool maintenance staff was fantastic and Rhett the property manager gave us lots of great advice on where to, where to eat etc. Thank Rhett. Was a pleasure meeting you. The backyard pool area is like an oasis. Beautiful pool and a great bonus was the hot tub. My girlfriend and I loved it. Restaurants in the area are very good. We rented a golf cart to make it easy to get around Akumal village but it is walkable. You can eat everything from pizza and burgers to fine dining steaks seafood and Italian. The house is very well appointed. We ate out half of the time and cooked our own meals the other half. If you want to do that just stop at one of the grocery stores on the way - food is all you need! The bbq and kitchen appliances including an espresso maker are all there for your own use. There is a separate casita in the backyard which would be great for another couple or kids. Overall it was a great experience. I’ve been to riviera maya many many times but always at a resort. I preferred the flexibility of renting the house. Eat what and when you want, mot have watered down alcohol etc. Had a great time. Mucho gracias! Booking is very easy and very professional, everything you need to know is emailed to you. "It would be beneficial to have an on site to help with issues incurred during the visit. We were held up on admission to the apartment because we did not have the symbol required by security for admission. Our flight left in the morning of 2/2/26 before we received this notification . Once at the premises we had no wi-fi to retrieve this information. We waited close to two hours in our car before this issue was resolved."
