I small friendly family run hotel. The rooms are clean and simply but tastefully decorated with a revolutionary theme, I stayed in Che. There is a fridge with a good selection of drinks at fair prices. Breakfast is available and snacks, lunch and dinner also by arrangement. They hotel runs cycling tours which may be of interest. Do not believe where Expedia/Google place on the map on Avenue 21 near the intersection with N, it is on 21 but further inland near the intersection with B.
Our family of 4 spent 5 wonderful nights at Viva la Vida. It was clean and comfortable and, most importantly, located in a great spot in the Vedado neighborhood . Vedado is a safe residential neighborhood with a number of Embassies and government offices near by. It is convenient to the Malecon (5 -10 min walk) as well as Central and Old Havana (5 - 10 CUC taxi ride). There are many restaurants located nearby as well. Our hosts were wonderful and provided endless practical advice on enjoying Havanna. We'd high recommend it.
Sehr schöne renovierte Villa aus der Kolonialzeit. Als Gast ist man eher WG-Mitglied. Die Gegend scheint allerdings die kubanische Version der Normannenstraße zu sein.
