Staying at Baha Mar didn't feel much like a vacation once outside of the room. Let me start by saying the room was beautiful. The grounds are beautiful. The island is beautiful. However, once we stepped outside of our room it was a literal rush for everything. If you want a seat by the pool you had to rush down at 7:30am (pool opens at 9) and put an article of clothing or a book or something to hold the spot. My husband and I didn't really agree with this concept so we rushed down at 9 when it opened and usually snagged the last two chairs by the pool. Same for beach chairs. Many of the restaurants were fully booked each night for dinner so we had to rush to make a decision early in the morning to book a reservation. The worst would have to be the price of everything. We spent no less than 50 bucks during any transaction. One morning we even had a $98 dollar breakfast(one waffle, one egg sandwich, one bottle of Fiji water, one coffee and two club sodas). 😑. As I stated the room was beautiful however the water pressure for the big beautiful tub was nothing more than a dribble and I found myself filling up a cup at the sink (with equally low pressure) to pour into the tub. It took about an hour to fill. Needless to say I did not get much use out of the beautiful tub. I will also mention the weird toilet room inside the bathroom that was enclosed in see through glass. The idea of a separate toilet room is nice, but not if everyone can see you do your business.
