When we first got to the resort we had high hopes for this place. The weather was nice and we were excited to get our family vacation started. We arrived pretty early to the resort and asked if our room was ready. It was not, but they told us that they would let us know…they did not let us know and when we went to check to see if it was ready, they said oh yeah, we were just going to let you know and so we got into our room about 2 hours early which I’ve done before at other resorts, but never in my life have I been charged for it. Here I was. Ok not a big deal but it did rub me the wrong way. My family and I stayed for a total of eight days and the maids never came to make the bed instead, they waited for me to make it and I would test it every day and they never showed until I actually made the bed…one night it was 7pm. they did bring us waters and take our garbage…. So they did the bare minimum. There is no laundry on site and there’s no way to do any laundry unless you want to get a cab and go somewhere that offers a laundry service. There was an ice machine across the hall with a vending machine that didn’t work, so if we got thirsty in the middle of the night… It was tough luck. We did enjoy the pool in the beach, but when we tried to go to the harbor, one pool, which was advertised in our brochure. We were told that we weren’t allowed because we weren’t staying there, why would they advertise for that pool and beach if we weren’t allowed to use it?

The adult pool was nice but it was always dirty, seems like they dont bother cleaning it. Margaritaville Beach Resort came up as all inclusive when I booked my stay. When arrived to Margaritaville they said it wasn’t all inclusive. We end it up buying the package to be able to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the resort which it was not worth what they charge per person per day which was about $70 dollars. Margaritaville also charges a daily fee of $70 for taxes. When we asked why we had to pay a daily tax, all the receptionist said was “We charge tax for everything.” Like how we pay a fee to stay there through Expedia and then they charge another fee at Margaritaville.

Amazing 3 day vacation. We got upgraded to the Jimmy Buffet Suite which was incredible. We ate at the restaurants at the resort and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Will definitely be staying again.
