"Check in was easy, but once there, there was mice dropping on the bed, ants coming in and out of the bathroom door, the ensuite shower had water pooling outside of the shower so you’d be stepping into water and inch high, creating water damage at the base of the door frame, where the ants came in and out of. The mould in the ensuite was all over the ceiling. When I went to talk to the staff he was sarcastic and rude, it says the place is pet friendly but my partner and I found a dead rat outside that could’ve been poisoned and harmed my dog (it would also explain the scratching sounds coming from in the walls). Air-conditioning was advertised but only covered the kitchen area. All in all it was an unpleasant house to be holidaying in and not worth the money. "

"Cosy, immaculate property with outstanding views to the Bay. Thoroughly enjoyed the porch for a sun-filled breakfast and lovely evening drinks. The beds were comfortable and the provided bed linen and towels was a lovely touch. The kitchen had everything we needed, new and great quality and the instructions provided by the host were very informative and useful. We particularly loved the back garden for the birdlife, immaculate lawn and the fabulous vegetable patch which provided fresh herbs for our cooking. Wonderful. For such a brief stay we are both fully refreshed. Thank you."

"The images used to promote this property are incorrect. Verandah furniture is falling apart, bbq was filthy with cigarette butts & spider webs, and clearly had not been used or cleaned in a long time. Internally the property was reasonable but did not have the inclusions specified in the listing. Location however was great. Didn't really deliver on the advertised 'quality' of the property."

"One of the best accommodations we have stayed in. I’m very picky and was hesitant at first due to the limited reviews, but Calypso exceeded all expectations. The house was exceptionally clean, which is very important to me, and the host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay.The home is very family-friendly, spacious, and comfortably accommodates up to 10 people. It’s well equipped with everything you may need, beautifully furnished, and thoughtfully decorated. Each bathroom had shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, which was a great touch, especially when travelling with family.If any consumables were missing, we were able to purchase them and the host reimbursed us, which made the stay stress-free. The house also stayed naturally cool, so we didn’t even need to use the air conditioning or fans.Fantastic location — just a few minutes’ walk to Callala Beach and close to IGA and Callala Club. Overall, an outstanding experience and highly recommended, especially for families and larger groups."

"House was nicely presented and in a great location. The issues were exacerbated by a day of temperatures above 40 and a power outage in the region for over 6 hours. Without going though details. Most fans do not go faster than speed 1 and hence and ineffective. You only realise that on arrival in house, once all are paid the only ac is in the main bedroom. In this case this unit had to be turned off as within a very short time after arrival you could see water dripping down the wall form the unit. There were also more concerning leaks as a large portion of the bedroom carpet has been very wet, stained and now beginning to smell. This in turn will also produce mould. A lot of work required here. All in all been a nice house. Believe some fixing of issues raised, especially ac in bedroom, and general maintenance throughout house would improve stay. Would also be useful to provide manual for oven as it took me some time on the internet to work out how to reset oven, to be able to use it - not that we did - after loss of power. I would also add that oven still had crumbs in it when we arrived. Happy to expand on any of this if you see the need…"
