Comfortable Stay

7 Adults & 2 young children & our 4 legged child, stayed very comfortably in this property, loved that there were board games to play, and the walk to the beach took all of 1 minute, very relaxing for our mid winter stay.

Convenient location

Callala Beach Shack is conveniently located near the gorgeous Callala Beach. The property owner was very accommodating and made our stay enjoyable. Highly recommended.

I’ll be back

We booked this property as a last minute getaway with the family and our border collie.Roxanne (our host) was very helpful with our requests to ensure our stay was comfortable.The property is described as shown and is really convenient in its location, being close to the beach and Club Callala. We will be back.

Great house, great location

We had a great weekend stay, house was lovely, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Ideal for large groups and great location. Close to the beach and RSL (kids club on a fri). Would definitely stay again. Thanks Geoff and Claire

Fantastic Stay

A beautiful home at a beautiful location. We attended here for a hens weekend and loved every second. From an organisation point of view, the owners were a pleasure to deal with and the property was a very affordable price. Will definitely be coming back again.

Great spot

Loved our week in Callala bay. The house is a great location and housed 9 people comfortably. The house could do with a little maintenance but it's nothing major. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and I definitely recommend the property.

Excellent house, pet-friendly, close to the beach and pub. Wish we stayed a bit longer.. One of the best holiday homes we’ve ever been to. I’d love to thank our host for being so nice for allowing us a late checkout. 10/10

Enjoyed our stay at this lovely place

Our group of friends had a great time at this place which was quite spacious (5 bedrooms) and the amenities and large backyard made our stay quite enjoyable after long days out and about. Callala Beach was a leisurely 2 min walk along a quiet main road. Will consider again in future.

Home away from home….

Beautiful light-filled home so close to the beach! The Beach Shack is a perfect home away from home that can comfortably accommodate 2 families and fur babies. To top it all off, the property owners are locals and were quick to respond to requests. Highly recommended. Can’t wait to come back!

Callala family shack

This is a shack so works well for children and its configuration works well for extended family groups. Has been done up but not in a particularly professional way. Not particularly well equipped but very comfortable beds.

Great Stay

Location was perfect. Quiet with a short 5 minute stroll to the beach. Rooms were great - comfortable beds and inviting rooms. Kids loved the backyard to play in!! Kitchen is a little small to cook for 10 adults but we made do. Open dining and living is great for the kids to watch TV and play while the adults have meals. If you have children I would bring a safety gate for the stairs to get in between levels which are on the outside of the property.

Suited our group PERFECTLY!

Our group had the perfect stay at the Shack! It catered for a group of 14 people so comfortably, we never felt like we were sitting on top of each other. There are so many different living/casual areas. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are immaculate. The cupboards are well stocked with everything you need, just like home. Unlike some places you stay where you want to be out of the house and back at your own place asap, The Callala Beach Shack makes you want to stay for good! Wish we could have stayed for longer, you can count on us contacting you again in future. Thank you!

Good property

We had a great stay at Callala Beach shack and the house was very versatile with its three levels and 5 bedrooms for our needs. The street is a little noisy with more traffic then I expected but its quite close to the beach. There was no dog thrower or bowls as mentioned, no remote for TV and no microwave dishes. The 2 gas bottles were virtually empty as well. Other then those issues it is a great spot for a holiday.

We enjoyed our stay in this pleasant spot

We enjoyed our stay at Callalla Beach Shack. The house is cute and very near the beach. And plenty big enough for our group of 11. The loft is a fun place for kids to hang out, and the separate area downstairs was good for our (older) kids too. It's true the kitchen is small, but clean & newly renovated. Thicker curtains would have been helpful in some bedrooms - we had to hang up blankets to block the light. The natural light filling the house is great in the daytime though! There were a few little dramas, but Geoff the owner was very helpful in addressing these. A good place to stay with a larger group.

A very thoughtful owner

This is my second review, because I had to add something important. Geoff, the owner, is incredibly thoughtful. We foolishly left some things behind - my friend left her favourite leather work shoes, and my daughter left her new ugg boots. Geoff kindly dropped them off to us in Sydney! Well thought accommodation for pleasant experience

This property is full of positives. Not sure where should I start form!! We spent our holiday with two other friends and their family. We were 6 adults and 3 kids and still there was plenty of space to accommodate more. Well thought, organized and convenient to suit all ages. We had loads of fun while our stay here and would recommend for revisit. If you are looking for personal space for couples, play ground for kids or have a good fun time around BBQ having get together, this property is certainly the one which ticks all the boxes. Thank you Geoff and Clare for such nice accommodation arrangements?, we will certainly recommend your property to our friends and families.

Great group house

My six girl friends from school and I had a very enjoyable long weekend away at Callala Beach Shack. The shack is set up well for a group such as ours - we all got a bed and the beds were very comfortable, and we could all park our cars out the front. Bathrooms are excellent - the showers are just lovely. There was so much to do we didn't need to use the tvs. The beach is a short walk from the house and so peaceful and serene. We had one wet day but spent that playing games and talking, drinking cups of tea and then wine when the hour was appropriate. The kitchen is well appointed and we enjoyed our meals there. We had everything we needed and a wonderful time was had by all. Thank you.

Great Owners -- a pleasure to deal with!

Because of a booking snafu, we actually didn't get to stay in this lovely beach house. However, I wanted to provide feedback on how fantastic the owners are to deal with respecting booking. Geoff really went out of his way to help us find an alternate rental after our booking with him fell through. We were looking for a place on short notice and may have just given up but for Geoff's helpful suggestion on an alternate rental. He went the extra mile to help us out and put me at ease regarding the booking confusion. Thanks so much Geoff! We really appreciate it!
