"The hotel was in a good location, 2 blocks from Hoan Kiem Lake (lake in the heart of old town). The rooms were ok, a little dated, and breakfast buffet was average.
Staff was great, and very helpful."
"We had a wonderful stay at The Lapis Hotel. The room and facilities were immaculately clean, and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We had a very early 4:00 AM checkout, and they still prepared breakfast for us to take away, which was a really thoughtful touch. Everything about the experience felt professional and warm. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Hanoi!

"We stayed in this hotel for one night at the start of our three-week trip and received a very warm welcome. Jenny in particular was very accommodating and super warm! Our bed was decorated because we were on our honeymoon and we even got a small plate with cake and writing. All the other staff were also super friendly. We felt completely at home and can only recommend the hotel! We have since stayed in another (4-star) hotel in Hanoi, which was in no way comparable and not nearly as nice as the Royal Palace Hotel.

"The location of the hotel is very good, all major tourist points are walkable. The staff of the hotel was very very courteous and helpful. They went over and above to help you with any of transportation or room needs. Would like to highlight and appreciate two staff for their excellent customer service - Celine, helped us to get the best transportation deals for visits even after we checked out from hotel. Celine ensured the driver and van was available on time and managed language barrier we faced with driver. Dave - helped to safely keep a electronic device which we left behind and kept it safely until we were able to collect it back. Thank you both."
"We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel-it was the first one we stayed at our our vacation traveling around Vietnam. This hotel is located in the old quarter-a convenient location. We really enjoyed the breakfast-the staff were very friendly & they had the best yogurt & coffee! We would consider this hotel in the future! Thank you! "
"We really enjoyed our stay at Anatole-we would definitely stay here again if we were exploring the old quarter of Hanoi! Our room was spacious, clean & quiet & had a seating area. We enjoyed a sauna, the pool & the cold jacuzzi! The staff weee really friendly & the breakfast was amazing! We had our own personal concierge too! Thank you for helping make our vacation wonderful! "I had an incredible stay at this hotel in Hanoi, and what stood out the most was the truly exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, especially one staff member named Susan. Every interaction felt genuine—whether it was the warm greeting at the front desk, the helpful recommendations for local restaurants and attractions.
The team here is attentive without being intrusive, and it’s clear that they take pride in making each guest’s experience personal and memorable. They helped arrange transportation, gave me insider tips for exploring the Old Quarter, and even checked in to make sure everything in my room was perfect.
Hanoi is already a beautiful and vibrant city, but staying here elevated my trip to another level. I’ve stayed in many hotels, but the service here is among the best I’ve ever experienced—kind, professional, and heartfelt. I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi."
