"We had a lovely time at the Sens, the rooms were clean and the food was good. The thing that made it lose a star is that they require you to leave the facility at 12pm sharp, so if you have a flight leaving at 6pm then you have to book another night or sit in the airport for hours????"

"Bathroom smelled like sewage leak. Took three days to move me to a different room. Linens, bedding, towels need to be laundered better, or replaced. The grounds are charming, but need attention. "

"This was my second time at this resort. The first time was amazing. The food was great, the resort was all open and clean, restaurants were amazing. But this time, half of the resort was closed off due to construction. This wouldn’t have been an issue had we been aware. The only notice that was given by the resort was “noise from construction”. They nowhere mentioned that so much would be closed, along with restaurants. Restaurants had to be combined into one building and the food slacked greatly this time "
"Our stay was great at this resort. There are multiple choices of cuisines and restaurants, but the reservation only restaurants would require bookings and they would take bookings only on the day you would like to book which is not ideal and you can end up in a long queue to reserve in your favorite restaurants.
Pools were huge, beautiful and clean. Each building have a separate pool which was designed based on whether it's having kids or an adult. Only building the water park was also great. Most of the pools have swim up bars with variety of drinks. The staff was very friendly and cooperative. However, during busy season the wait times are longer and everything takes much longer. For example, check-in might be 30 to 45 minutes. This is very family friendly pool. The best thing is their main square is having one thing or the other every night. There are a lot of good bands which we enjoyed during our stay and there is a lot of activities for kids. They have bouncy castles, mini golf, face paint, karaoke, kids ride. Pop up snack bars and markets every night.
The shows at the theaters are also great.
One downside is the buffet menu is more or less same especially for breakfast lunch. They have special nights for dinners.
Biggest bummer is the beach. It's a very small, rocky, not like a beach you would would expect in Tulum or Cancun. Or a five-star beach resort. "
Hotel Xcaret Arte – All Parks / All Fun Inclusive, Adults Only
10/10 Excellent
"It's the kind of place where you feel like every detail is intentional. I can't recommend it enough- if you love a well managed, serene escape full of natural beauty, this is it!"
"Very family friendly, food was delicious
And good service. Beach is very nice but is a little rocky. In love with the Spa. I would definitely recommend and come back. "
"We have been to a number of resorts in Mexico. We booked this resort based on the positive reviews. We liked the resort. It is smaller than other resorts we have been to which is mostly good, but some bad. We liked not having to reserve the restaurants. We were able to walk into the restaurants 8 out of 10 nights. We choose to go to the buffet for two nights. They only have 4 restaurants and a buffet on the resort for the peasants, not privilege people. We ate at all of the restaurants, most of them twice. The food was good for All Inclusive. Our favorite was the French Restaurant. A negative is that this resort only has 4 restaurants for the peasants.
The rooms were great, clean, hot water quickly, towels exchanged daily.
We did have to get up early in order to reserve chairs, in the shade, at the pool. I got up at 6 AM the first day and barely got a chair. I ended up getting up at 4 AM the following days in order to reserve our chairs. This is the earliest I have ever gotten up in order to get a chair by the pool of any resort we have been to in Mexico.
The beach is ok. We were there when the Sargassum was high.
I would go back to this resort again. The trade off of a small, clean resort with great hot water is a no brainier for us. The resort was a bargain at the price we paid for what we got.
Don’t use Etransfers. They didn’t pick us up from the airport, even though we waited an hour for them. They also didn’t pick us up from the resort. A total rip-off."
Platinum Yucatan Princess Adults Only - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"What can I say!! This property is a 10000/10. We had a beautiful swim out suite. The room was cleaned daily. The staff went above and beyond. The spa was amazing. If you are weighing your options just book it! You will not be disappointed. The drinks are strong and the steak house is really world class! "
"My stay at Riu Tequila had some great highlights, but also a few letdowns.
The entertainment team was truly top-tier — easily 10/10. They consistently organized activities throughout the day and night and made a real effort to engage guests. They were friendly, energetic, and made the experience fun. The shows were interactive and kept us entertained the entire stay.
Another standout was the cleanliness. This is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. You constantly see staff maintaining the property, and the rooms were spotless every day.
However, the biggest disappointment was the food and drinks. For a RIU resort, I expected much better quality. Most of the cocktails tasted watered down, which was surprising. The food overall was hit or miss during my six-night stay. The buffet was excellent on two nights, offering a great variety of meats and fresh options, but inconsistent on other days. The restaurants were decent, but definitely could have been better. Compared to other RIU resorts I’ve visited, this was a noticeable downgrade in both food and drink quality.
One important thing to note: this is not a beachfront property. You’ll need to take a golf cart or walk across the street, which takes about 7–10 minutes. While the golf cart runs every 10 minutes, this could be inconvenient for elderly guests or anyone with mobility challenges.
Overall, I’d rate this resort a 7/10. The property is beautiful, and the entertainment and cleanliness really stand out. "
