"A wonderful peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Be prepared for a lengthy but beautiful drive from Oban. Delightful garden to rest and reflect. Breakfast was great - the porridge was awesome. Jan and Daz were wonderful. They got up early to provide us with a take away breakfast as we needed to leave early. "

Stunning Loch View House

"I could use the normal words to describe the location, accommodation, friendlyness of people etc. but they would do the place justice. Within ten minute after arriving my wife and I almost said at the same time, I feel so relaxed and we are just here. That was how it was for our entire stay and we both agreed we just needed to stay an extra day if it was possible. I spoke to the manager Hazel and within a couple of minutes it was fixed. If you are looking for a place to relax and get away from...

Traditional whitewashed fisherman's cottage overlooking Loch Fyne
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (20)
"We loved the location of this cottage, with its beautiful view over Loch Fyne. Everything inside was stylish, clean and in good condition, making us feel comfortable and at home. Gordon replied immediately to two minor queries we had. Thank you! Shopping is easy at the two Co-ops (Inverary and Lochgilphead). We bought petrol at the Tesco filling station in Lochgilphead. Ours was only a short stay but we managed to see many of the the sites in Kilmartin Glen (our main reason for coming to the...

"Why is it every time we visit Oban, there's a violent storm? We'd booked for two nights but on our day of travel Mathew phoned to advise all the roads were either flooded or blocked with landslips. We agreed to try travelling the following day, which we did - it was eventful and with many detours but got there. Mathew kept in touch throughout to check our progress too, giving us updates on road closures. When we arrived, we were greeted at the door and shown our room, which was huge and very...

Quiet village location in beautiful valley close to Kilmartin, Argyll. Sleeps 4, dog friendly
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (34)
"Tucked away at the top of the village this little cottage was comfortable and had a very well equipped kitchen. The pictures don't do it justice, it's great place. A lovely walk to Kilmartin (20 minutes if you find an overgrown shortcut through the back wood). My top tip, take birdseed for the feeders and breakfast becomes a fantastic show of local birdlife."

9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (10)
"Sadly we only had a very short 1 evening stay at this beautiful location. We would have enjoyed more time here. In that short time we received above and beyond care. I asked where we might be able to find ice when checking in. The nearest market was already closed for the evening. Olwen from reception was so nice. She said she couldn’t promise, but her husband might be able to help. An hour or so later her husband knocked on the door with our special delivery. So incredibly kind. Thank you...
