4/5 - Good
Even in a poor season by Japanese standards there was still plenty of snow up top to have a great time.

While Echo Land may not have many sights to explore, venturing just a little farther will lead you to top things to see and do like Hakuba Happo-One Ski Area and Happo-one Adam Gondola.

Both Yuori and the other receptionist were very helpful and courteous during my stay. I injured myself skiing and Yuori was especially helpful with bags and transport.

The breakfast was wonderful. Something for everyone. Also the daily outdoor winter lunch was very good too. One night we had the Chef’s dinner and it really was excellent.

Stay away from street food. Only dine in restaurants
Take cash! Visit different ski resorts - we found something new and good every day.
Personally I rate Hakuba as one of the best snow resorts in the world. Access is fantastic, so much to explore, great snow, cheap & small lift lines (outside of Japanese holidays).
Hakuba is a nice introduction into Japan skiing. I dont think ill go back as a much more authentic variety if mountains exist.
Unlucky season but very easy to move between different mountains. Will be back for a more pow filled season
