"We had an amazing one night stay at the Polish Place. The cabin was exactly as expected and had everything we needed. The only difficulty we had was check in. We are traveling internationally and needed WiFi to get updates as no one was at reception at 2:00 pm. Luckily a local winery saved the day with WiFi and the trip was smooth after that. "The location is perfect for the Convention Centre (via a 5 minute walk) and access to the main Broadbeach area. The staff were incredible - the lovely and friendly lady on check in couldn't have been nicer or more helpful! There is some confusion in how to get to/from if you're driving, only because they don't have a dedicated space for pick up/initial registration (drive past the Star Casino, but you need to then double-back past Star Residences). You then have to go back around past the Star Casino and then around the back to park - it's not really well-signed. Plus, some online booking sites mention it's a discounted $20 parking fee but it's actually $25. The rooms are nice, but they're not dark enough (there's a lot of light under the door from the hallway and from the window at night time even with the curtains closed). And a minor thing - I think it was a mistake but I had 2 body washes and 1 conditioner vs. 1 body wash, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner in the squeezy toiletries. The best part about my stay would definitely be the staff and their service, and the ideal location for what I needed."
