“Outstanding hotel”
The hotel was outstanding in every respect. I would prefer to stay here every time I visit Vancouver, which is often. A great place..
“Coast Hotel in Stanley Park, Vancouver, BC”
The hotel is in a great location. Right off of Denman Street on the west end of Vancouver. The building is only a couple of blocks from the start of Stanly Park. A beautiful location and park. Take a walk along the sea wall when you are here. Denman Street has any style of cuisine you may want. There are some great Ramen houses towards Georgia Street. The main issue for the hotel is parking. They have an underground lot, but it adds another $25 a day to your bill. So, figure that in when you are looking at prices. If you do not have a car, and only need public transportation, you are better off. You can walk to the downtown in about 15 minutes. Straight up Comox or Davie Street. There is a one screen movie theater by the hotel. It has about five movies that each show once per day. So, it was Harry Potter at 4:20 and Midnight in Paris at 1930, etc. There is a nine screen theater about a 15 minute walk to the downtown. A great location, just the price of parking that shocked me!
“Coast Plaza Hotel in Vancouver”
great location. Excellent hospitality. Loved the 1st level mini mall. A bit dated, though.
“Good value”
The location is great. Close to Stanley Park and English Bay. Lots of places to eat. The hotel was a bit worn out. But the room was spacious. Noises from next door did wake me up during early mornings. Other than that, no complaints.
“Ok, but outdated”
The hotel is ok, but it's outdated, plumbing is out-of-time (but it works), the swimming pool is nice and big, but in a concrete bunker, the interior of the rooms is ok, but needs a fresh approach... The reception was excellent, the breakfast was ok, but the waiting time was unacceptable long for a breakfast. The location is good (restaurants, beach, park, ...), except when you're in Vancouver for shopping. Overall,I don't think it's the right value for money...
“Excellent”
Fabulous location, excellent staff. Renovations well nearly done and teh place is the better for it. Everything is dearly priced in Vancouver, but the Coast Plaza is worth it, considering relative value.
“I don't I'll come back!”
The hotel services is not a 3 star hotel not close!. The rug in the room were old and peeling. It was supposed to be a non smoking room with the a/c - it was stuffy in the room and the a/c unit was not working. The staff were so inconsiderate -rude and unfriendly. I felt in Vancouver that most people were not very friendly. It was so particular at this hotel. I will not stay here next time. I paid too much tthrough for the hotel which should have put me in decent 3-4 star hotel.
“Great Location in Vancouver-near beach, restaurants and gay area”
Loved the hotel-lots of amenitis including a full gym-had a huge suite with kit hen that we got upgraded to when we arrived-close to bars and restaraunts
“great location! roomy room!”
we stayed here with our 3 year old daughter and loved having the separate bedroom so we could put her to bed and then hang out in the living room. the kitchen was also great for making breakfast. i love the location-- we could easily walk to stanley park and the aquarium and english bay and the seawall. i also love all the different restaurants so close by on denman. free wifi! huge rooms! very friendly and helpful hotel staff!
“Hotel needs some updates”
Overall had a nice stay in a Great location. Does need some updating, old decor and found socks from previous people!
