"We could not stay at this property because it was dirty, neglected, and extremely unsafe. Despite the unacceptable condition, they refused to reimburse us, so we had to leave and lost all the money we paid.
The entrance was dangerous—you have to cross a broken, makeshift wooden bridge over an open ditch. The stairs were partially broken, the wooden structure and railings were rotten and unstable, and elevated areas were inadequately protected.

Sacred springs flow through Tirta Empul temple where locals perform purification rituals in ancient stone pools. Visit nearby Gunung Kawi to explore royal tombs carved into cliff faces and terraced rice fields.
Absolutely amazing, I didn’t want to leave. From the moment you enter you are treated like royalty. From the grounds people to management everyone is so attentive. The Villa’s are amazing, the grounds are superb. Highly recommended, will definitely be staying again.

Excellently presented villas. The staff were fantastic, couldn't do more to help. The shuttle to ubud made commuting between the two very easy. The cooking class was great fun and would certainly recommend it.

The villa offers great value for money. Both it and a nearby restaurant are owned by the same person making it possible to enjoy meals at any time of the day. The rooms and the courtyard are kept clean daily and the staff are happy to offer any additional assistance requested. One bathroom item I hadn't seen before was a hair curler as well as a hair dryer. The area is very rural so you hear animal sounds from time to time. There are convenience stores and small restaurants nearby as well as a...

No complaints whatsoever. Service was excellent, rooms were large, modern and luxurious, facilities were outstanding and the food surprisingly good! The only thing is that the resort was a little bit remote from Ubud centre (about 45 minutes) but that isn't even necessarily a bad thing as it gave us a more peaceful stay. There is a free shuttle from the resort to Ubud centre that runs fairly regularly as well.

Kayon is a great resort with super friendly staff and a gorgeous setting. The big stand our for Kayon is the amazing restaurant. We ate in for the cultural dance night (also the best dancing I have seen in Bali) and the BBQ night - and the food was better than we ate in town. A great place to stay.

From the moment we arrived through the beautiful long driveway at Ayung Resort until 7 days later when we reluctantly left, we experienced the real magic of Balinese hospitality and open heartedness of the people. The hotel is astonishingly beautiful (so much nicer than the photos). Every aspect of the layout interior and exterior has been thought out with beauty in mind. The landscaping and gardens are fantastic with pagodas set amongst the trees, pathways to meander along, amazing cravings...
