"Matt was swift in his response to each of our questions prior to our arrival and very helpful during our stay. The house is just as it advertised. Very comfortable for our extended family, lots of space for the kids to roam and play. Extremely well stocked kitchen. Great firepit. Very comfortable beds."

"Sophie’s Farmhouse was a wonderful property for our Easter getaway. With 16 adults we had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to choose from. The house is large and has everything you need for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Large kitchen and dining area works well for large groups and there is an outside dining area also. Having an enormous commercial refrigerator as well as a large refrigerator in the kitchen was amazing as we bring so much food and drinks - so loads of space. Really enjoyed the fire pit and pizza oven. The cement furniture may be practical but lacks a feeling of relaxation so we don’t use it. The outdoor furniture near bbq and pizza oven were dirty and had bird dropping on them as did the other outdoor tables which I cleaned off - there was lots so it hadn’t been cleaned for some time. The pool table is old and needs replacing - scary cob webs in the pockets. Darts are also a bit tired. The area is beautiful with lots of farm animals and walks. Easy communication with stayz although the wifi issue wasn’t resolved - that needs updating for sure.Handy location to all of the Southern Highland villages. We would definitely return to Sophie’s farmhouse again and had a fantastic Easter weekend away - our 28th one together.Great property for large groups and families."

"The property is clean and well landscaped. It’s one way in, one way out. Rooms are clean and smell pleasant. Beds are comfy, water pressure in the shower is excellent. The microwave is located in the room with the washing machines. All in all, a very pleasant stay. "

"Lovely apartment, but next time a non "Accessible Access" Room would be better, for us. Concrete floors a bit cold and no "soft" lighting in the kitchen/sitting room. TV reception a bit "fluttery"! The late (3pm) check in was the most inconvenient thing for us. Most do 2pm. Location is beautiful, staff really excellent. Audrey's Restaurant a big bonus."

"Our extended family had a fabulous stay at Balmaghie rural retreat; the sense of relaxation is instant the moment you arrive. The property is incredibly spacious, ensuring everyone had their own breathing room. While the tennis court was a huge hit, adding pickleball markings would be a fantastic future upgrade! We particularly appreciated the expansive kitchen benchtop for prep work and loved the local wildlife—the bird calls and nightly visits from the resident wombat were magical. Sharing a BBQ dinner together under the stars was the perfect, peaceful highlight of our trip."
