We had a very late check in time, supposedly for cleaning, of which there was very little. Tried to contact caretaker for a vacuum cleaner but had no response. Cleaned as best we could to make it liveable. Drains were all blocked. Contacted Holiday Travel (managers) who were helpful and organised a plumber very quickly. They were also apologetic for state of the place and offered some remuneration. Our experience was further disappointed by nearby patrons on the same property fighting, loud arguing, bad language, driving backwards and forwards.

Country stay to relax and catch up

Property was comfortable for 14 people. Only stayed two nights with extended family but overall was very nice. Could use a bit of attention in places. On tank water so supply not reliable. Rustic but charming location.

Relaxing getaway

Beautiful property with a great set up for multiple families to stay. Owners were very responsive to requests during stay. Could do with some tea towels and dish washing liquid. Not grassy like the pictures and while pet friendly the property is open to the road.

Digi detox

So great to go somewhere off the digital footprint. No screens (except most excellent range of DVDs) and kids and adults enjoyed the amazing surrounds and digital de-tox.

Quiet and peaceful

The house was well equipped and cozy, with plenty of space for our group including two dogs. The only negative of our stay were the three other dogs that live down the road from the property which we did not know about when booking our stay. These dogs were roaming free multiple times and ended up wandering inside our house. While they were initially friendly, they were quite territorial and one of them aggressively pinned my 9 month old puppy to the ground. One of the other dogs also bit two of the people in our party. Despite some of our party taking the dogs back and notifying the owner, they still ended up escaping a few times. It was really disappointing as we felt like we couldn’t allow our own dogs to wander around the property safely.

Perfect country getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this well equipped large house. We have 13 adults plus a dog and there was plenty of space and utilities for us all. Perfect spot for our annual "Xmas in July" getaway from city living. Loved that there was no reception so fireplace and board games served as excellent entertainment - as did the outdoor hot tub - what luxury!!
