"Rooms dated. But it was a good value. You get what you pay for. The pool was a blast. Plenty of lounge chairs and the staff was super friendly. The restaurant is horrible. Food is overpriced and tasteless. Don’t eat there! The service was horrible. For dinner, it took a full hour for us to get to our seat, and there was only a few people working there so everything was really slow. We ordered our food but they forgot my order and I was super starving. My daughter’s stew was just pieces of meat, and barely had any actual stew. The breakfast buffet was 8 items; rice, bacon, potatoes, eggs, pastries and some really old fruit. They charge $35/person for this. "

"When I booked our stay at Gingerhill, I had no idea what to expect outside of an experience that would be unlike the typical room and board my partner and I are accustomed to. I can honestly say that this may be one of the most special stays that we have had the pleasure of experiencing. Falling asleep to the sounds of the forest in the Jungle Canopy and cohabiting alongside nature allowed us to seclude and connect in between adventures on the island. "The room decor is very unique and full of history. The back yard is full of surprises with nature and even a forest movement studio! Stuff are very friendly and easy to talk to. The owner herself is nice to chat with. Breakfast is included and delicious and healthy! We love this place!! "

"The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances, pots, pans, serveware, you name it. We enjoyed cooking meals at home for the family. The property is gorgeous and the fruit growing on the property were a wonderful bonus. The pictures don't do this place justice! The house is much larger than it appears and the view is perfect. "
