"Mostly very clean, except sliding glass doors. Would have cleaned myself but no cleaning materials on site. Wanted to love this place. "From the start we had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They do ask about the timeshare offering, but aren't overly pushy about it. If we had been staying for longer we would likely have gone to the 1.5 hour meeting as they offer nice rewards for it. The condo was larger than expected: one bedroom and 2 full baths. One bath had a shower, and the other had a shower/tub combo. We booked the Villa Niaia room. I don't know what the difference between the room types are. But at the resort, there is an older section and a newer section. We were in a newer section. It has been renovated and had solar panels, with air conditioning included. Some other rooms you have to pay $12/day for AC. We looked right out toward the pool and golf course. You could see the ocean behind that. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make meals. The unit had a stack washer and dryer to be able to wash your own laundry. The pool stays open until 11, and wasn't super crowded most of the time. We enjoyed the hot tub at sunset. Very relaxing. There is a restaurant and bar with live music at night. They also have community events. There is sand volleyball, basketball, and grills with tables around the property. It is conveniently located. Across the street is Longs Pharmacy(CVS). And a Walmart about 10 minutes away. I would not hesitate to stay here again. It was so enjoyable."

"Second time staying here and we love how relaxing and not-busy this resort is. Unfortunately, this time there were some issues that could’ve been and should’ve been handled. We had 2 rooms and both didn’t have any soap for bathroom sink provided. We had to call housekeeping to get some so that we could wash our hands after using the bathroom and it took over and hour and 2 calls to get it. We found cockroaches in a couple of areas (the pool and outside our room) and when we called to have someone take care of it, it took over 4 hours and more calls to the front desk. On top of that, the Holoholo store on the property, had THE MOST rude worker. She was in the coffee bar area and every time we went, she was so clearly irritated to have to help anyone. She was equally rude to everyone I saw her come in contact with so I know it wasn’t just toward us. Spoke to the hotel manager, Sally, who was aware and advised about the situation. She was very apologetic but this store isn’t actually associated with the resort. Whatever you do, don’t eat breakfast at the Piko restaurant in the resort. Beyond expensive and none of us enjoyed the food! Lunch bar is great for food however!"

"Great location. There is no AC at this property except one portable in the bedroom and it was hot in there. It did cool off in the evening if you put a fan in every window. Everything is very old and dated, but for the price it was great. Plenty of space. The downstairs neighbor was friendly and it was a very short walk to the bay. Overall if we didn’t plan to spend any downtime at the house, I would stay again. But if you want AC and an updated tropical feel, this is not the place for you. The fruit stand out front was great and we popped out and got fresh banana and mango to cut up for our breakfast."

"Beautiful property with a very responsive host; unfortunately, not very clean.My daughter and I thought the house is lovely, and the setting with the fruit trees and views of the ocean in the distance was delightful.For the nightly price of this house, one expects basic level of cleanliness, but we found dusty areas in the bathroom, staircase, and even bedside lamps that we could not avoid touching. Many of the dishes and mugs we took out from the cabinets were dirty and the pots and pans were a jumble in one cabinet. Other places we have stayed at in this price range also provide body wash, shampoo, hand wash but this property does not. If we had been prepared for this, it may have been less disappointing.Overall, we enjoyed our stay because of the large windows, lovely views, fruit trees, very responsive host, and the ability to bring our dog."

"Customers need to be warned that this isn't a hotel and the room wasn't really a room, but rather a screened-in porch. There were no windows to close - only screens. There was no shower, but rather a bathtub where people from the outside could see anyone in the tub. The bathroom sink was actually a kitchen sink that came with cockroaches. The bed was in very bad condition, sinking in the middle. There was poor lighting, no air conditioning, and nearly deafening noise from frogs outside. When we arrived, it was completely dark and to reach our room, you were required to climb a steep hill/driveway. The breakfast consisted of some cut up fruit, wheat bread, oatmeal, and coffee. The owner was friendly, trying to be accomodating and helpful."
