Book Windsor and Maidenhead Hotels

"My first impressions were very positive as the hotel is in a great location in Maidenhead and only a short walk to a variety of restaurants and eateries both chain and independent. The parking area is quite extensive allowing more than enough room for hotel and restaurant guests. There is a stylish reception area with friendly staff who checked me in early after confirming my room was ready. The room was artisticly decorated especially with the bathroom area. There is a well functioning air con unit as well as a nice fan. My main disappointment was that one of my main reasons in booking my accommodation was to use gym facilities. In enquiring about this, I was informed that the spa area was being renovated and not able to be used by guests until April. The lady on reception said that I should have been informed but the only message I received from the hotel did not allude to this. This was the only let down on a stay which would have been give 5 stars otherwise. My 3 main scoring criteria for an overnight stay is the shower, the sleep and the next morning's breakfast. All 3 were very good and combined for a stay at a place I would love to stay at again given the chance."

"Not sure if I got the gritty room because I paid with my points or if most of the rooms are so tired and dated? Shower hanging out of holes in the wall tiles, paintwork flaking around doors, dirty marks on walls, tv so old that the remote still has a “teletext” button! If I got such a bad room because I wasn’t a fully paying customer then shame on The Berystede. I won’t be rushing back."

"This would have been an amazing hotel 30 years ago but is in desperate need of £5m spending on it. Staff were all very pleasant, rooms very tired, no heating so had a plug in radiator. Beds were terrible. Location and outer building both great"

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was fine but the building is old with no lift and lots of stairs. Breakfast was substantial. My room was quite small but adequate for a short stay. "

"Parking handy - Staff very good and efficient, especially Paul very friendly, and appeared to be doing everything and with a smile. Fab river view, nice bath and actually had aircon. Only gripe the safe didn't work."

"There are no shops around this hotel, but it allows pets, which is particularly beneficial if you are looking for some peaceful moments. "

"The staff were so attentive and kind. My kids loved the treasure hunt laid out in the room upon arrival. Lego man visiting our table made their day. The playroom and sensory room are fantastic. We’d go back again for sure. "
