nice small building, transportation is convenient with nearby Metro A station and bus #916 to town centre. supermarkets and restaurants are good in 10 mins walk distance (though avoid the mini-markets next door).
staff are all very friendly and helpful.
the only issue I had was the noise. somehow when the lights are off, there is constant electrical noise in the room. when lights are on it is OK - but slightly difficult to sleep!
I was in the rush and couldn't explain this to the staff in the last day, hope it's just minor wiring issue and it can be easily fixed!
overall I enjoyed stay here and would visit again.
Hotel Aurelius is a delightful *boutique hotel*, intimate and cosy, which offers its customers relaxing and well-being stays …More
This hotel was good from the time we arrived a bit before check-in time till we checked out before breakfast was served. Good staff who went out of their way for us. Both restaurants had excellent food and service. Be sure to get their breakfast. It's a real deal. Looked like Sunday buffet each day. They even fixed us a boxed breakfast since we had to leave at 4 am.
This is a really nice hotel, clean rooms etc no real faults at all apart from 2 things
1 it's a 15minute walk to the last metro station, the second part is thro a badly lit industrial estate. Not ideal if your scared easily at night
2 there is another hotel in Rome called Hotel Ginerva which is miles from this one. This caused massive confusion with airport transfers and taxis. They all wanted to go to the other hotel as no one had heard of this one. So much so that we almost missed our flight home!
All was well apart from being away from the city centre and the nearest metro being 15 mins away via a set of stairs and steep hill. Ok if you can decifer the bus routes. Rooms and all other areas very clean. Good breakfast choice. Small swimming pool open during the hot weather.
The host is very friendly and helpful despite his limited English skill. It is close to Metro station. The bus stops are only one block away and not far from the Vatican City. The room has spacious balcony. It would be better if the cleaning maintenance can be improved.
Hotel was as advertised, Friendly, helpful staff, near bus route and metro. Nice room/bath, not great to hang out in, but as our primary purpose was to see Rome, we did not spend a lot of down time there. Hot water in shower was iffy at times, and when you left the room the power secured so room was stuffy as AC did not run (We opened the balcony to quickly cool the room down). Room was clean, balcony was nice. Fair Value for the price. Would stay here again if I had business in the area.

Encompassing in its folds part of the area next to the Vatican, the Aurelio neighborhood is known for being a residential haven away from the hustle and bustle of central Rome while still being connected to the heart of the city. The area's traditional restaurants, local shops, and neighborhood cafés bordering the piazzas make it the perfect place for an evening stroll.
