Family Hotels & Resorts in Rome

Great experience overall and would recommend. Certain amenities were overpriced, but the staff was excellent. A distance from the city center but the free shuttle was very easy, other than the 3 hour siesta period in the afternoon.

We arrived early at Camping Fabulous, I had emailed reservations from the airport to see if our chalet was ready. I was informed it was so we headed straight there, upon arrival we were told it wasn't ready until 4. Slightly disappointing as we could have headed into Rome. When we eventually got the keys to our place to say we were surprised by the appearance of our chalet was an understatement. What we had seen and booked through Expedia did not match what was presented in front of us. The place was tatty and well past a refurb. The fridge was bashed, skirting boards fixed on shabbily, a crack/hole in the light fitting. Just generally past its sell by date. I contacted reservations (for the site not Expedia) and asked if we could be moved as it didn't live up to what was advertised. I was told this wasn't a problem but it would cost us and it would be the following morning. We hadn't budgeted for this so decided against it. Fortunately the facilities on site lived up to the name, the lagoon pool was great. We spent many afternoons there after exploring Rome. We ate at the restaurant several times and it was pretty good. Great place to take children. I would go back but research my accommodation prior to any booking, I feel quite let down by Expedia as I think the chalet was missold.

The location is great - close to the metro and Forum, with plenty of restaurants on the doorstep. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was continental - always plenty of pastries to choose from. The bedroom was good, and the windows were soundproof - the bathroom was slightly outdated, but always kept clean with fresh towels. Overall, a decent hotel in a great location.

Reasonably priced, and a 10 minute walk from the Fermi Metro station - taking cabs into town will be expensive if you are staying for more than a couple of days. My room was in the garden annex, and there was a lot of traffic noise from 6am to 11pm. Clean, tidy and reasonably modern room, breakfast was limited to cereal, bread, cheese, ham and a selection of sweet cake. The only hot choice was a giant tray of scrambled egg, which appeared to be as old as the Colosseum. The onsite restaurant was expensive, the food was lackluster and the staff ignorant of you are not Italian. Allowing smoking inside the restaurant is unacceptable, but the Italians don't appear to care. Reasonable value for money - it was good enough for a business stay, but I'm not sure that my family would have been so happy.

The staff go beyond to help you find any location you are looking for and will even help make recommendations to find great restaurants in the local area breakfast is wonderful each morning with lots of choices including scrambled eggs sausage bacon boiled eggs cereal pastries coffee tea with different selection with hot water

Great neighbourhood within walking distance of river, restaurants, and many of Rome's most famous sites. B&B in gorgeous building with excellent security. Room and ensuite average size but more than adequate. However, a bit light on with bathroom toiletry supplies but towels good and bathroom quite modern. We enjoyed our stay of 3 nights and considered it excellent value for money. Concierge very obliging, professional and friendly. We highly recommend this venue.

Perfectly located by the Spanish Steps these residences (formally owned by artists) are very spacious and comfortable. Comes with A/C, great for those hot summers. Easily walk to all cites of Rome.
