"Great Room, few complaints!"
This hotel was located in a great place in Rome. It's surrounded by all of the shopping and thus near all the hustle and bustle. The hotel itself was very tiny, but nice. The woman we met at reception was friendly and very helpful. I would worn future travelers that like other boutique hotels in Italy this one is not very obvious. When you approach the entrance you have to ring the intercom up to the hotel to ask to be let in. The elevator was tiny, we could only fit one person with both pieces of luggage in at a time. When we left in the morning the elevator wasn't operating so we had to carry our luggage down 3-4 flights of stairs which was less than ideal. My only real complaint about the hotel was that they didn't have 24-hour reception. They did have someone you could call at any time who could be there in 5 minutes which was great. But we had a shuttle that was picking us up at 7:30AM when no one was at reception. This meant we left the building with no way to get back in to wait for the shuttle outside. In doing so we cut any potential access to a phone. So when our shuttle didn't show up we had no way to contact the service because we didn't have international calling available on our phones. We ended up having to pay for a cab to get to the airport and foregoing the fees we paid for the shuttle.

"Nice hotel that's close to Trastevere!"
The hotel was really nice! When we arrived we were given a drink voucher that could be used at the rooftop restaurant. It was beautiful and spacious. However, everything else was quite tight and congested. The elevator actually has a sign in it that says it has a 3 person limit. Also, the bathroom contained a bidet which decreased the amount of space in that area. The shower itself was extremely narrow and when you stepped out you had to step between the toilet and bidet. The bedroom area was quite comfortable and the window actually has an external shade that can be controlled by a switch on the wall. This was a great feature because when we put it all the way down during the middle of the day when we took our siesta the room was actually pitch black. We loved it! Also, the room contained a refrigerator and a small sitting area.

"Great Place for Roaming the Streets of Rome"
Hotel provided excellent service including arranging town car to/from the airport and personalized service at the breakfast buffet, which was the best we had in Italy. They even provided a breakfast box for our early trip to the airport. The upstairs rooftop bar had great view of the Vatican and ample space and tables for a quiet evening. Hotel sponsored special Euro-Cup Final event with initial glasses of some fine wine gratis. Loved the room, which was spacious for Europe, very clean and well planned with four poster queen bed and two large easy chairs in front of the fireplace. Free WiFi without any hitches. The staff was exceptional and multi-lingual. The sitting rooms off the lobby had the wonderful aroma of a recently used fireplace with free newspapers and cushy love seats and sofa. Tastefully decorated. Rates were reasonable given the comfort. I will stay there next visit to Rome for sure.

"Excellent location, friendly staff"
This hotel is within walking distance to the Coliseum and the metro station. Angelo (at the front desk) is amazing; he was so helpful anytime we needed something. We stayed here for 10 nights and enjoyed it very much. We had a couple of days where we had very early tours (prior to the hotel breakfast), and the staff ensured that we were able to have hot tea and croissants before we left. Just a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are small, and I know in the annex you have to take the stairs to your room, but I feel like that is pretty normal for Europe.

"Fantastic location in the heart of Rome!"
We had a wonderful experience at the Inn at the Roman Forum last week. The staff were incredibly helpful, making dinner reservations for us every night, among other things. The breakfast and amenities were top rate. We look forward to going back again.

"Fantastic."
Fantastic hotel. Perfect location. Staff out of this world. Room one of the best I have stayed in - entire hotel is absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was superb. Just round the corner from the colosseum, Trevi fountain and piazza barberini. Even the pantheon was just a 10/15 minute walk. Staff were an absolute credit to the hotel. Nothing too much trouble. Extremely helpful. Totally professional. Couldn't recommend this place more.

"Treated like family."
I wanted to thank you and your resort staff for the sincere welcome and hospitality that was afforded to us during our stay at your resort. We had the fabulous and elegantly laid out room 202. We had the pleasure of your excellent Red Glove Service. We arrived on Wednesday, June 29. As we entered the Gran Melia residence, we were welcomed by your Red Glove representative, Sylvia Farano. Sylvia was the first person we interacted with in Rome. For me, first impressions are everything in the hospitality business. Sylvia treated us with kindness, attentiveness and most importantly respect. The airline had misplaced my luggage. Sylvia was able to assist us in retrieving my luggage by the next day. Right then and there, we knew we were in excellent hands. Sylvia helped us with our tours, offered plenty of suggestions and directions. What was most impressive was that she had always asked us how our day of sightseeing was or how our dinners in central Rome was. She always remembered. There was a couple of days that she was not working and needless to say we missed her. The rest of your staff was equally helpful. When she returned to work, it was like seeing a family member. My family and I met you Ana in the lounge. You had asked us how we were and if there was anything you can do for us. You have no idea how that makes a traveler feel when you are so welcoming. We came to Rome to sight see, eat the food and learn your history. But, what I will remember forever are the wonderful
