"Clean and nice room, but not as expected"
Pros: Great location, near Spanish Steps and lots of shopping / restaurants. Clean rooms that are decorated nice. Very very friendly, helpful, polite staff. Breakfast delivered to the room at the time requested. Large bathroom for getting ready in the morning. Cons: My room had a lot of street noise / music. And there was no window in the main room, so it was always dark no matter if it was 2 pm or 2 am. This was also not what I expect of a "hotel" - it was more like an upgraded AirBnB. There are only 3 rentable rooms (I should have read the website more closely, as this is stated) and no front lobby, desk or concierge. As a woman traveling alone, that would have been better to know in advance as I would have opted for a place with 24 security.

"A great location"
Great hotel, ideally located! I couldn't believe how convenient this place was. And this was my fourth visit to Rome! Good sized rooms, good breakfast, great bar on rooftop. The staff were polite but not helpful with regard to places to eat. Either they didn't know or didn't care! Found a restaurant around the corner, a dive, but exceptional food. OhBladi,OhBlada!! Yes honestly! The owner/chef lives and breathes it. Excellent.

"Great location"
The hotel was steps from the metro stop. There were numerous funky vintage shops, many low-cost options for dining, and a popular bar nearby. Despite all the young people in the street, the room was very quiet, even with the window open. The only downside was the front desk. Although very polite, they were not helpful with restaurant suggestions, or transportation info.

Villa Spalletti Trivelli

"A Quirinal Delight"
A three-story Roman mansion, situated on the Quirinal Hill and just a block away from the presidential palace. With what appears to be minimal alterations, it now hosts travelers. You must ring for entry to the hotel and leave your room key with the front desk staff when you leave. In the early evening, you can retire to the drawing room and mix yourself a cocktail and then wander to the dining room where you can be fed simply by the house staff . It is as if you are a a friend of the Spalletti family.

"Beautiful Oasis"
This resort is a must-stay in Rome. After traveling 9 days throughout Italy our party of 8 spent our last night at the Gran Melia and it did not disappoint. From the welcoming check-in (we were upgraded to a Superior Room) to last minute assistance by the concierge with our dinner reservation, the customer service was excellent. The room was wonderfully appointed, very clean and the turn down service was gratefully appreciated. Our only regret was that we didn't stay here during our first 3 days in Rome, but we will return. My sister has a vacation share with the Melia resorts and after our stay at the Rome property, I would love to become a member.

"Great hotel. Close to all major places of interest"
Free breakfast buffet was the best I have ever seen. Food excellent but very pricey. $50 room service hamburger was a surprise. Service was very friendly and all spoke English. Great views from breakfast on 6th floor.
