"Perfect small hotel central to all historic sites."
We chose this hotel primarily for the convenient walking distance to all historic sites. The hotel is beautifully designed and appointed in the renovation of a former monastery. Our room was a Junior Suite and was much larger than typical European hotels. Our daughter had her own bedroom, bathroom and shower. The staff was universally courteous, friendly and professional. We have previously stayed in Rome hotels, but would absolutely choose the D.O.M. on future visits.

"Great hotel, great location. "
Myself and my, now fiancée, stayed for 5 nights in August. We do not have a bad thing to say about the hotel. It was clean, comfortable and modern. The rooftop bar in the evening was very romantic and because of the small numbers having table service and nibbles was a bonus. The prices were reasonable for the stay and drinks. The breakfast was varied and filled us up for a day of sightseeing. All staff were friendly and very helpful in suggesting places to eat. The two restaurants at the end of the road, if you turn left out of the hotel were fantastic. Good food and wine. We already want to go back!

"Excellent hotel, close to Ancient Rome"
We were very lucky to get a room in this hotel at the last minute. Having experienced a problem with my original booking at another hotel, it put our visit to Rome back on track. On arrival I was greeted by very friendly staff who checked me in swiftly and set me up with a complimentary tiramisu and ice cold water. The Superior Room we had was opposite the main Hotel, and was very beautiful, with a fabulous shower and lovely bed and bedding. WiFi was a little intermittent, but I have to be honest I didn't really need it, so didn't bother to see if I was doing something wrong, or follow up on that. Breakfast was included, and served on a very sociable small roof terrace. Continental buffet, tea and coffee, and a choice of cooked eggs. It set us up perfectly for the rest of the day. The staff were lovely, and conversation between guests flowed easily. There's also a very pretty 'roof-top' garden tucked away out the back. Every evening there was a very civilised 'happy hour', again served on the roof terrace, which was great for another chat with other guests before popping out for dinner. Check out the hotel's hidden gem behind reception during your stay. The staff really took care of us, and we really cannot fault this lovely venue!

"Treat yourself like royalty"
I have been traveling throughout Europe for many, many years and stayed at dozens of different hotels, B&B's and similar lodgings. I can say that Villa Spalletti is my number one hotel not just in Italy, but maybe all of Europe. Yes, it is expensive, so if you're looking for a budget place to lay your head, look elsewhere. But, if you want a memorable stay, this is the place. The mansion itself is perfectfully positioned and walking distance to most of the top sights in the Via Veneto/Piazza Berbini area, yet avoids the loud and touristy streets that also populate this area. It is tucked away on a side street directly opposit the Quirnavle Gardens. The large public rooms (libraries, lounges and salons are beautifully appointed and furnished with antiques and artwork. The rooms are spacious, well furnished, but also modernized. The bathrooms are sumptuous. This is not a place that nickels and dimes you. Breakfast is included and it is lavish by any standards. It's a continental buffet with many kinds of cheeses, meats, breads, cereals and fruits, but the kitchen staff will custom prepare most any style eggs or omelets you want with bacon or sausage. Everything in the mini-bar is free. Wif-fi is free. The help is blessedly all extremely fluent in English and very helpful, arranging for cars, reservations, recommendations and whatever else you need. I would say that it is not for families with small children or people who are looking for the budget hotel experience.

This is is a small hotel. But it was perfect. Big chain hotels should get lessons From this hotel. It could not have been any better at any price. The best hotel that I have ever seen. "Mediterranean Resort in Heart of Rome"
This was a perfect hotel in many ways. The location on a hill, right next to The Vatican was also walkable to other major sites and shopping. The staff was professional and upbeat without fail. The concierge was enormously helpful making adjustments to plans, dinner arrangements, in-country transportation and tours even in other cities. The recently renovated, pristine hotel room itself was a master class in space planning. Our family of four all had comfortable beds in one room (with optional privacy room divider) and a walk in closet to open all of our luggage and hang clothes while hidden behind closed doors. This meant that the room always felt luxurious and organized. The pool was gorgeous and an ideal family retreat after a day of touring. Food can be gastronomic for foodies or dialed down for kids or a casual meal.

"Wonderful hotel in a great location"
What a wonderful surprise! Such a lovely hotel close to the Spanish Steps, Borghese Gardens and Via Veneto. The staff was very helpful and the room was comfortable and roomy. Very ornate decor makes you feel like you are in an old Italian manor. I would definitely book this hotel again.

"Amazing location, luxurious room"
We had a great 3 days in Rome using Spagna Royal as a base, First issue was we found it using phone maps otherwise it could be difficult as it is just a name card in an apartment intercom/ no sign no lobby to the street. But once you are inside wow. It matches any luxury hotel we have stayed in and the corridor areas are the best I have seen anywhere. Highly recommended, We will stay here again
