"Lovely boutique hotel!"
Super clean, modern boutique hotel. Good location. Can walk to Trastevere, over the river. Rooms include down pillows and comforters. Thick terry robes and slippers as well which is unheard of in Europe for prices like this. I strongly recommend Forty-seven. The staff was super and the check in area was unique and opens to a cute courtyard. Just felt like luxury for the same price as a lesser hotel.

"Wonderful hotel"
This is a small hotel with lovingly restored features which make it a unique experience. The rooms and facilities were great and the staff were particularly attentive. The location is brilliant. Just 15 minutes to most major sites including the Vatican and Pantheon. We'll definitely be back next time we visit Rome.

Very comfortable with quirky decor. It has ancient roman ruins within which you get a tour of, along with complimentary coffee and tiramasu, while you are checked in.There was a gift waiting for us every day in our room.Staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast and aperitifs can be taken on the roof terrace while enjoying the view of ancient Rome.

Villa Spalletti Trivelli - Rome Hotels

"A Special Place in Central Rome"
From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we enjoyed a wonderful stay, which was for a special Anniversary break. The staff were superb - professional in all respects, so friendly and attentive, we could not have wished for a better experience and nothing was too much trouble, including recommendations for restaurants, the booking of transport etc .There was a discrete air about everything, so much so that everything appeared to be done by magic! The Villa was ideally situated within walking distance of central Rome but it was also a tranquil haven with no noise during the evening and access to its own private gardens. We were made to feel as though it was home. Rooms were luxurious and spacious with high quality furnishings and a superb bathroom (we had the Parioni room with its own balcony) and walk in wardrobe. Downstairs there were several common rooms, tastefully decorated with many period features and antiques. There was also a complimentary bar in the lounge area (between 5 and 11) and a glass of Prosecco was a lovely way to begin the evening before strolling into Rome. A wide selection of breakfast options to cater for every taste (including cooked options). Our celebration was made very special by the thoughtful bottle of wine and cake left in our room upon our return to the hotel following dinner. We would certainly not hesitate to go back there again - excellent value - exceeding our expectations.

"Lovely small hotel, great location"
Great hotel within walking distance of many of the main tourist attractions and numerous restaurants and good transport links for the rest. The staff were very friendly and helpful yet unobtrusive. The hotel is small so you get very personal service, but you won't get the same public facilities that you would in a larger hotel, e.g. no bar or lounge. This is no issue when you like to explore the local restaurants not stay in the hotel. The free WiFi offerred great connectivity and there is a computer available for public use. Breakfast is self service with a good selection that should cater for everyone's taste, although don't expect a full english. The nicest thing was being greeted by the reception staffeach time we left or arrived back at the hotel - a very personal service.

Gran Melia Rome - Rome Hotels

Gran Melia Rome

"Five Star By The Vatican"
It was excellent. I booked this long trip to Europe in one night, and did not realize there was a Melia property in Rome when I booked. I have been to 58 countries and flown hundreds of time, so I know good and bad service. I had initially booked four nights at the Best Western Spring House (Avoid at all costs) for the stay in Rome, but ended up switching hotels after two nights. When I saw there was a Melia, I immediately booked the last room available. The rooms were very modern, the staff were extremely polite; (I wish I could recall all names, but Jose and Sergio from the front desk are the two that standout, Jose from check in and check out, and Sergio from a long chat about Italian history after I ran a few miles early in the morning). I had stayed at the The Level, Melia Caribe in August in Punta Cana Dominican Republic. Melia is probably my favorite European hotel and there are about 374 of them worldwide. I would write more, but if one was to stay at a Melia property, they would not need my review to appreciate it.

"Excellent Location "
This is not a regular type of hotel, it's in an old building close to the Spanish Steps. Although it's not to our usual standards, it provides everything you need for a short stay in Rome. The room was clean and the staff were very attentive and polite which made our stay pleasant. Thank you Spagna
