Cannon House Hotel
3.0 star property
7.2 out of 10, Good, (75)
"Handy for Rothsey, and a lovely old building. My room was facing the harbour and an interesting view. Tired in places, chair was very wobbly, and doors etc as you would expect in a property of this age. However, the retro-fitted en-suite was good, and nice and clean. Felt like carpet had not been hovered. The Scottish breakfast was nice and not too overwhelming. Just right. The guys running the place were really friendly and polite."

Corrie Hotel
3.5 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (103)
"I loved everything about this hotel. The room was charming and full of character, the hotel was well located on the island: seaside, ten minutes from Brodick, less than a block from the Fish Bar and Deli. The service was excellent at all turns -- the staff are friendly and informative, breakfast is made fresh every morning with a table reserved just for you, and the restaurant is great (I almost cried at how good my sticky toffee pudding was, with Isle of Arran made ice cream on top). There's...

Knap Guest House
4.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (192)
"A perfectly pleasant stay. However it lacks the human touch. Everything is automated and seems organised to minimise interaction between host and guest. Breakfast - all three courses at the same time left at your door - eating cereal first meant cold bacon sandwich and cold toast. Run for the proprietor not the guest. "

Kames Hotel
2.5 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (47)
"We were marooned in the Kames Hotel when excessive rain, flooding and landslides closed all the roads out. We could not manage to get to the wedding we had come to attend (neither could the celebrant, hairdresser, makeup artiste..) but we sat in all our finery with glass in hand beside a roaring log fire in the guest sitting room and thoroughly enjoyed the Google Meet wedding of the year ! Great food, company and staff who did all they could to make our stay comfortable. "

"A beautifully located Georgian property close to gorgeous beaches and stunning views of the Kintyre peninsula. The hosts, Susan and Angus (who is a chef) made sure that our stay was not only comfortable and clean, but also delicious! We received many recommendations from Susan about what places to explore and where to find the most interesting local sights, while Angus made delicious breakfasts and recommended many nice places to eat around. Perfect May weekend ❤️"

One Marine Place
4.0 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (22)
"We spent 3 nights in the St Ninians flat upstairs. The view across the Clyde was fabulous, possibly better than the downstairs flats. The house is well placed for travelling around the island with bus stops nearby. It was kept very clean and the beds were very comfortable and the heating came on when we needed it. The nearest supermarket (Coop) is in Rothesay itself about a mile away. The only point to be aware of is that in common with most other holiday flats, previous renters have made a...
