"Summary: Rooms - Good size with all required equipment and Clean on the down side - beds in the room were little bit smaller than expected ( we took 2 double bed and it is good for adult and kid but pretty small for 2 adults ) Our room had issue with the strong mold smell, Also nearby area had some issue with sewer backup and smell of it the solution from the hotel which was provided is humidifier which didn't help much but within few days the sewer backup was fixed ( at least the smell ) and the mold smell in the room was much better ( still was but acceptable level) The surround area was like paradise Food and main location first class Ability to move between hotels areas in the Bahia full complex ( Tulum-Akumal-Coba ) provides you always something new to discover over. Over all l0 days we weren't feel even once we want to go beyond the complex It provides you with a lot of restaurants and entertainment options The only does side is you need to book restaurants before you get to the place and sometimes it is hard to manage right timing service is excellent from all staff we met Kids club just AMAZING- Facility - activities- Stuff Entertainment team - AMAZING Beach - not the best but due to the nature of the place ( a lot of rocks in the swimming areas and the sand less good than in Playa Del Carmen ) but views to the sea are amazing Pools are great and worm Bars are great - excellent service "

"We loved our stay at Grand Riviera Princess. This is the first time Platinum Expedia status was acknowledged and entitled us to extra benefits: platinum restaurant options and platinum swimming pool. We truly enjoyed our stay: restaurants, swimming pool, beach, fun activities. We will be back!"

"Wyndham has been busy in restoring the beach area as when we were there 2 years ago, the beach just outside the boundary of the main pool was non-existent. There are now loungers in the area where water used to be. Same with the ground level suites that face the ocean - you might not be access the beach still but at least water is not lapping at the balcony door. The hotel has implemented a rule regarding placing the hotel towels and personal items to reserve loungers by the main pool and pool by Off the Hook; unfortunately, occasionally staff will remove the items after an hour. It is sad that some patrons do not like to follow the rule as everyone should have opportunity to relax by the pool. Jorge, pool and bar manager informed me that towel/reservations is a work in progress. The Wyndham front line staff including management are welcoming (Alexandro) and are willing to help out with reasonable requests. The food at the resort are superb. The buffet have variety so one never gets bored of having the same food though I can never get enough of taco chips/salsa/habanero. Thanks to Eduardo and Hector for introducing me to the lovely hot sauces. Sebastian, thank you for remembering my pot of decaf coffee with hot leche (milk) in the morning. Suggestions: please reinstate small bills for exchanging for large bills and bring back my popcorn. "

"The food was really good, and even though reservations to restaurants seemed booked at the start, there were plenty of cancellations and we were able to get reservations at the times and restaurants of our choice almost every time. The a la carte option was always great, though, so you don’t even need to worry about reservations. The pool activities were super fun and we loved playing beach volleyball with other guests. Our favorites were The Good Bar, the health juice bar, the crepes at the main buffet, the spa, the dolphins, the snorkeling, and general safe and beautiful ambiance. We had a great stay and we’re sad to leave. Ricardo, one of the bellhops, hooked us up with a rental car so we could explore Akumal Beach, Playa del Carmen, and other spots on our own. So much to do at the resort though, so no real need to leave. Would definitely recommend with or without kids. "

"The restaurants all had amazing choices. Wish there was a bit more entertainment but overall experience was wonderful. Went for my honeymoon and it’s very romantic both night and day. Place is safe and staff is so kind. Best experience and very memorable. Looking forward to coming back. "
