"Took a chance on having no idea what to do or where to stay. Found this place and it didn’t disappoint! First off, Nicolas is the best host we have ever experienced. Seriously cannot thank him enough for taking care of my family. Answered every question and made some amazing recommendations. He grew up here and knows this place well. Thank you Nicolas. Second, location is the best! We walked right to the lift! It is literally across the street and there’s a great rental shop below the inn that gives you a discount. Nico also does a great job of letting you know the good deals and getting everything for you set up. He even delivered our lift tickets to the rental shop. Great dude! Third, everything you need is right here. The room is so comfortable with amazing views and secure. Best trip to the snow in Japan. Highly recommend this place. Five stars doesn’t do it justice. "Excellent place to stay and staff was great. Just remember that they can pick you up on the day you check in and they can drop you off the day you check out. I had to get dropped off at the Hakuba station when I was leaving"

"the man running the place is just lovely. he spoke the best english of anyone we met while in japan for two weeks and was super friendly. every morning the breakfast was a little different, he drove us to the bus station at the end of our trip, and he was always available for questions and advice. the private onsen (hot tub) was excellent after a day on the slopes and all in all it had a more bed and breakfast vibe. it’s a 10 minute walk to echoland (restaurants) and a 20 minute bus ride to happo one ski lifts"

"My partner and I were eager to experience the snow in Hakuba and were in search of an affordable and charming place to stay for a couple. We stumbled upon West Coast Inn, and its location turned out to be incredibly convenient for us. Situated just a 3-minute walk from Hakuba Station (also providing access to the Hakuba Free Shuttle to the Happo One Slope and other slopes), it was perfect. Seiko and her husband were delightful hosts, both fluent in English, which was helpful for us as non-Japanese speakers. Our room and the overall ambiance of the inn were delightful, and they truly made us feel at home."
