"We had a lovely over night stay in a superior room on the 4th floor - room 420. We used the leisure facilities which were very good. Nice Spacious room. Can’t complain for the price we paid I guess. A bit of constructive criticism for the hotel to bear in mind: 1) please leave more than 2 milk portions. We only had two between us. We would have loved a few more teas and coffees but didn’t want to chase around for milk. 2) the room was warm but when turned on, the aircon was very loud, we did loose some sleep."

Lumley Castle Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Perfect for couples. It was quiet with beautiful surroundings. We took a walk to the river from the castle, and it was quiet as though we had the whole grounds to ourselves. The food was delicious and the room was cozy with a spacious bathroom. We were lucky as there was a wedding on and as a result, we were treated to a nighttime fireworks display! For us a 10/10. But be mindful that there is no AC in the room - that didn't bother us but might be an issue for others. Also note it's worth checking if there are events on as we didn't realize that if we had arrived earlier, we could have gone on a tour of the castle and had afternoon tea. We are looking forward to visiting again."
