"We've vacationed at Playa Azul over a dozen times over the years and we absolutely love staying there! This was our second visit this year. The beach area and snorkeling are first rate! Plenty of shaded seating and the tiki bar is right there (Great Drinks & the Beer is COLD). The menu items are also first rate and you can't beat the breakfast bar! Great service, fantastic coffee, and plates made to order by the chef. Perhaps the main reason we keep going back is the wonderful staff! They are so friendly, accommodating, and dedicated to making your vacation fun and relaxing! On this trip, we took my daughter's family with us that included two teenage granddaughters. They had an absolute blast, jet skiing, snorkeling, and hanging out by the pool. The Hotel wifi worked great so they could post photos to their friends. We highly recommend vacationing at Playa Azul to anybody! We can't wait to go back next year!"

"The ocean view was great from the 6th floor and the room was clean and stocked. Snorkeling right off the property is great and somewhat addicting. The staff is friendly and hard hard working: Alex at the snack bar kept us fed and hydrated and was very available and attentive. Vicky, also at the snack bar has a great personality and treated us well. Rosendo and dinner is very professional and provides top notch service. I can't say enough about the entire staff as they are all very helpful and friendly. Areas for improvement was the pool as it had debri and was not kept clean during the day. The barking pets was something I could do without. "

"This property I give it 9 out of 10 only because they don’t tell you if you are flying in from Cancun international airport that it’s a task to get to this resort. This resort is 1 hour and 30 minutes from Cancun international airport. You also have to take a ferry to the island and another taxi from the ferry. Other than that it’s a very relaxing resort, it’s not a turn up resort and not many African Americans go here, so keep that in mind! Elizabeth was the best staff so nice and sweet please give her a raise, she was a waitress. The food was good everything else was amazing. I enjoyed my solo trip. Only issue was getting there. Once you know that then everything else was great. Also there’s not much entertainment. "
