"Avoid this hotel. The location on Ocean Drive is great, but that is the only positive. The hotel is old, dirty, and clearly poorly maintained. There was no hot water, flushing the toilet was a struggle every time, and even after asking multiple times we never received extra towels. The hallways were dirty, the elevator was not working, and during the rain the upper floors were literally flooded. The only bright spot was the kind gentleman who hands out beach towels. For the price and location, this place should offer much better standards. In its current condition, the hotel desperately needs a full renovation."

"Very friendly and welcoming staff at the front desk. The hotel is clean and well maintained. We liked that there are two pools, and there are many restaurants nearby with guest discounts. Overall, for this price it’s a very good hotel."

"I never got to check in. They had no electric and told me to book elsewhere and then lord to Expedia and said I was a no show. When I went there and asked them to please check the cameras they said they weren’t on bevause there was no lights. If that’s true then how it goes to show that no one was able to check in. "

"Great location in South Beach, easily walkable to restaurants and activities. Our original concierge went above and beyond to help us transition - stored luggage until check-in and recommended spot for lunch. He also set up a sightseeing tour for us that we really enjoyed (except for the 30-minute late start). The original reception staff were also very friendly and helped us check in before the stated time. The reasons I rated 4 vs 5 stars: staff after the originals were inconsistent - sometimes they greeted us upon arrival, sometimes they avoided eye contact; the pool area was understaffed and service took a long time; loud false alarm went off early morning on check-out day which made for a longer travel day. Overall, a good hotel worth a stay in South Beach."

"Loved the food, cocktails, staff and vibes. Beautiful ocean bay view. Room slightly dated (paint, chips in furniture) not an issue for me. Will be back again for sure. Spa was amazing and treated to so many glasses of champagne complimentary!!! Thank you Mondrian and Baia Beach Club. "
