"I booked the Fontainebleau Miami through Hotels.com expecting a luxury, five-star experience. What I got instead was a frustrating, overpriced mess that completely failed to live up to its reputation. The service was wildly inconsistent. Staff ranged from indifferent to outright dismissive, which is shocking at this price point. I even suffered a documented slip and fall on property, reported it immediately to security, and not once did Hotel management follow up, offer assistance or compensation of any kind, or show even basic concern. Trying to obtain a copy of the incident report afterward has been an exhausting runaround, which only adds to the frustration. On top of that, the resort nickel-and-dimes you at every turn. Mandatory service charges are added automatically, regardless of the actual level of service, which often didn’t justify the cost. For a property that markets itself as high-end, the overall experience felt transactional rather than hospitable. The facilities themselves are visually impressive, but that’s where the positives end. When you’re paying premium rates, you expect premium treatment, accountability, and professionalism. This property missed the mark on all three. I would strongly caution anyone considering booking through Hotels.com to manage expectations or explore other options. There are far better hotels in Miami that actually understand what true hospitality looks like."

"The hotel staff were kind and welcoming. Staff made themselves always available and receptive to my requests while on duty. Any requests were met with enthusiasm and promptness. They would check in with me on a daily basis during my stay to ensure I had anything I needed. The room and hotel were clean and tidy. My room had VERY effective air conditioning and lots of natural light that came thru the large sliding balcony door. The kava bar was a great option to start my day during my stay as well. Overall the hotel felt very welcoming and was an amazing place to spend my down time when not enjoying the city. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from all the fun on Ocean Drive, tons of upscale restaurants located by South beach, and a short car ride from Downtown Miami. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to enjoy a worry free visit to Miami. "

"The room was overall clean there really wasn’t enough soap or shampoo and conditioner. The mattresses were terrible. The they don’t change anything in the room unless you’re safe for three days which is pretty standard but it the room is tiny. The people in the hotel were very nice South Beach. It’s very rundown. It’s not about the hotel. "

Got off the plane at 10pm, checking in at 10:30pm to learn that Moxy cancelled my reservation the day of without telling me and then Expedia tried to relocate us to a 1-star hotel. Staff at front desk were extremely rude as me and my group were stressed and anxious about where we would sleep that night. They were extremely unprofessional and not apologetic at all. 0/10 experience. "
