“This hotel is perfect if you are on a budget”

I booked this hotel based on reviews I found in trip advisor and I am glad I did. I had a great time. There is a train station just around the corner which takes you into Manhattan in just about 20 minutes. There is free breakfast (which is rare when looking for hotels in NYC) and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We happened to be there during Hurricane Irene and as the subway was shut for a day and a half we had the chance to go and explore Brooklyn and crossed the Manhattan bridge which we wouldn't have if we stayed in Manhattan and loved it. If you don't want to break the bank when seeing this amazing city and don't mind a bit ok subway traveling then this is the hotel for you.

This affordable hotel is near the Brooklyn botanical gardens, the Brooklyn Arts Exchange (BAX), and the New York juggling festival at Pratt.

“Very clean hotel”

The hotel was very nice and extremely clean. It is located in an ok area. Alittle intimidating for visitors but it was close to the subway. I will definately stay here again

“Immaculate”

I'm not sure whether this hotel was recently renovated but it certainly looked it. Everything about the room appeared to be new. It was a typical small NY hotel room but it certainly met all our needs. The continental breakfast was exactly what you would expect - muffins, cereal, bagels etc. and the staff was friendly and accomodating.

I am from NY city.I grew up in Brooklyn.It's always a joy to go back ,to see,and relive,the old stomping grounds.Also,a little bit of sadness;as I look at the new generation that has replaced the older folks,like myself.Thanks,

Excellent value for New York. Clean and spacious room, good breakfast and just a few minutes to the subway with 15 minutes to downtown Manhattan.

me and my husband went to this hotel on valentines day for the first time and i was impressed with it.. the rooms was clean, the hall was clean and the lobby was clean that was my main thing cleaniness.. i should be returning here soon

“Comfort Inn Brooklyn”

The hotel is excellent, everything you need from one. The location is certainly not a tourist area, although it was friendly and felt safe and non-threatening. Most other guests seemed to be workers staying for a single night and moving on, there were few other visitors it seemed. There is an old industrial building opposite, although it seems this is been renovated or refurbished. The rooms were spacious enough as were the beds, with good T.V.s and bathrooms. The breakfast was also very good. The hotel is fairly small and was quite empty for our stay as it was off-peak, staff were fine. Although not located in Manhattan, the D Line train stops at nearby 36th Street and takes you downtown in around 20 minutes. There are no supermarkets, but three garages and various restaurants all within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. Its also close to Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Museum. Coney Island was also around 30 minutes away and was a great change of scenery. Would definitely recommend.
