- Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
The only thing that we loved about the hotel was the location. It’s a few blocks from Central Park. Unfortunately, there was construction in front of the hotel which made it more of a traffic nightmare. As far as the service, some of the staff was friendly while others could have been friendlier. After we checked in, we had to wait in line just to use the elevator. Then when we got to the room our door was cracked open. The room was OK, but had a lot of obvious wear and tear. There was scaffolding outside the window that blocked some of our view. You should know there was no room service or restaurant in the hotel. And the only place that served food was a cafe that closed early in the day. Then one afternoon, we came back from a long day to find our room door cracked open, which was located right outside the elevator. Nothing was stolen, thank goodness. I did speak with the manager who apologized, but it didn’t seem sincere. There are many hotels in NYC, so we won’t ever stay here again.
