The hotel is 6 stories with great ocean views and lovely sitting areas. Loved walking down to the beach and having a chaise and towels available. The pools were also inviting.

Mediocre hotel especially for the price. Needs a serious renovation.
Also, the restaurant was blasting a football game at an obnoxiously high volume at 8:30am during breakfast when most patrons wanted to enjoy the sound of the ocean.
I asked our waiter if he could request the bar turn down the volume a bit and he said no because it was “football Sunday”. Only two people were watching the game at the bar, the rest of the people were completely disinterested. I don’t see the need to blast a football game at high volume early in the morning when most people want to enjoy their breakfast in peace.

Beds were full sized, not 2 queens. Everything well kept. Marriott situated in a compact community campus with private condos, private golf course, gas station a couple small shopping centers, super market. Beyond that is the ocean and lava. So have to drive outside of this. Marriott accommodating for pool-side loungers, snorkeling

Beautiful ocean views from our balcony. Staff at breakfast and the activities hut were both friendly and helpful. Wide beach with lots of chairs and umbrellas. Great snorkeling right from the front of the hotel. Only minor downside is my mother in law did struggle with the amount of stairs and distance from room to the beach.
