"We picked the hotel for its location near the airport but we would not stay there again. The shuttle was hard to find and slow. We wanted to go for dinner in the restaurant, but the menu was so oddly fussy, we went instead to the bar. The bar had about 10 excellent options for main courses, but they aren’t available at dinner. We ended up talking to people sitting at 5 tables around us and everyone hand the same reaction! The restaurant menu was dreadful and they were disappointed that the good options in the bar weren’t available. The food and the service in the bar was good.
The room had some issues. The door to the small wardrobe was too long and hard to open as it stuck on the floor. There was no coffee and no milk packets, just a teabag and 4 kinds of sweetener. The room was 26 degrees when we arrived and took ages to cool down.
There was no soap in the shower!!! The pump was empty. I ended up leaving early so I could get a shower in the lounge at the airport. Who thought it was a good idea to have a glass window between the toilet and the bedroom. Even with the Venetian blind, light floods the bedroom.
The worst thing was when my husband went to the loo in the middle of the night and a 3-inch long cockroach ran over his foot!!! He ended up chasing it around the bathroom with the waste bin to crush it.
On the bright side, the beds were comfortable if one can sleep through the sounds of cockroach hunting.
Do yourself a favour. Go into the city. "
